AFK Leveler Posting
It was mentioned in WC today that it would be a good idea for the GM's to keep a running post/list of AFK Leveler's that are caught/jailed. I had not really thought about this, but it does make sense: what if you hired that person to level your weap and they are caught and then YOUR weap is poofed
?? Thoughts?

That's a good thought, I bet all that can be said about that is that you must make sure you're using someone reliable. It's hard to find reliable people online, but I guess what you might be able to do is do something like an insurance item with them. Give them your weapon to level, they give you something like an SoT in case something like that happens. Otherwise it would be hard to know if it's your weapon or if they are telling you to say for them that it was yours so they don't lose their weapon. The problem with this is people will do whatever it takes to exploit or find a loophole
. Maybe something like a GM giving you a ticket, (like a vendor contract) if you have someone else level it for you so they know for sure it's yours.
sorry, kind of jumbled but just jotting down thoughts.

Well, good business practice would be for the AFK leveler to replace the weapon or (should that be impossible) reimburse you. Unfortunately there is no such thing as "binding contract" on Excelsior, so the leveler is not really forced to do anything. He can just say "I don't care. Your loss." Sure, you can inform anyone and everyone what a bad person he is, but you get nothing anyways.
I actually agree with the list idea - the person gets a reputation hit and most likely won't get another weapon leveling gig ever, should he end up blacklisted. And it doesn't require the 'victim' to run around and inform anyone for it to have effect, which is good. In an ideal world getting caught and having a weapon impounded permanently should by law force the leveler to pay the owner or make it up in some way. But I can already see the headaches with proving whose weapon was it, how much it was worth, with what to pay if someone doesn't have the gold or tokens... etc. and so on. Kinda like in real life courts. Too much alike, in my opinion.
tl;dr - Blacklist => good.

There is already a thread for this in "Feature Requests". Go there to discuss this topic so it's all in one place
