I can't believe another 500 days has passed since my last announcement for a milestone event. This time I am celebrating my 2,000 day here and I am cordialy inviting everyone to celebrate it with me. How can you participate you are asking yourself? Easy, just show up and be prepared to humor me by participating in several "games" that I will hold starting next Saturday and continuing until my prize pool is completed. Okay, okay, okay, calm down, I will tell you what kind of games I am offering because I know it is the thrill of playing the games that is more fulfilling than winning some thing as mundane as a million gold or hundreds and hundreds of organics and ointments.

The games will be broken down into three main categories:
Solve my Riddle (See first event post for example. Riddle posted on forums, then go find me. No pm answers)
Find Me ( I will hide somehwere and reveal myself when first player arrives)
General Excelsior Knowledge ( I will ask a question over world chat, first correct pm wins)

This event is as newbie friendly as I can possibly make it, which means that if you are good at following diections, have a basic understanding of UO, and have the ability to defeat an orc or ghoul that you may encounter, then you should have a chance at winning any of these games. If you want an example at some of the riddles I can ask, search the forums for my original Milestone event. By the way, I will not use any of those already posted unless the upcoming ones prove to be too difficult.

Since I am giving a lot away, I will warn you that nothing should be that easy, but there are many answers tha can be quickly researched, though it is a gamble to take that time to do it. My one main advice and hint that I give is to take the time before this event to get to know your shard as well as possible. If you see something unique, make a note of it; it just may be an asnwer to one of my questions.

I currently have 33 questions, riddles and find me already to go , though I most likely will use only 25. I am now working on matching my prizes with my questions to ensure an even distribution, but the majority of of each prize will exceed 1 miilion gold. The prize pool (which may grow) is something like this:

10 million in gold
5,000 elven notes
6,000 ointments
20,000 organics
20 Travesty Keys sets
20 Dreadhorn Key sets
5 Paroxy sets
Miscellaneus items such as taming potions and jewlery, luck suits, lrc suit, unidye tubs, imp squirrels and blue diamonds

Oh ya, and a dex package (Sorry, no batwings included, at least, not yet)

I would love to see everyone enjoy themselves with this and hope to see you there. I would like to ask veterans who participate that if you win, do you really need the prize more than someone else? I will not question anyones motives, so it is up to you.

I know everyone will want to know when it will start or end and for that I must apologize for I cannot be that precise as real life will trump all my plans. Basically, the event will run when I am on, whenever that may be. On weekends it is hard for me to be very accurate to my playing time as yard work, movies etc. can come into play. I will keep everyone posted adn give at least 30 minutes notice prior to officially starting anything.

More hopefully, they have the possibility to win at least a few parts.
Watching "dayly UOEX-life", we already have a 2-class-system.
Even the greatest event won`t make sense, if the lower chars only could say:
"Yeah, I took part, but ..."

First of all, it's Cygnus's event, if he wants to make it only for vets, he can do what he wants. It's not your place to say how he should run the event or even say anything besides this sounds like a good idea. Please stop crying about being a new player and how vets have it easier. Everyone started where you are and progressed to where they are now. All your posting does is make people resent you, and be less likely to help you.

I dont mind hearing such threat. Which players are really helpful and which not, evry player will find out by own experience.

The last time I held this event, I got a mixed bag of winners, vets, newbs and in-betweens, so I am confident that it will turn out the same again. What it will take to win some of these events is to really know the whole shard, not just goc areas and leveling dungeons. I am sure there are plenty of places where I may hide that a vet hasn't seen in years, if not ever, so the enterprising new player should take advantage of this. Also, my riddles are cryptic but the answers are in the riddle, just take the time to study them and decipher them, just like a true riddle. Look up my forum post for the first event back in 2011 to see examples, and yes, all of them were deciphered by somebody. Here is an example of a "find me" from last event, which by the way, nobody found. "I am standing beside the Book of Truth, find me." No vet knew last time, and chances are little know now because I told very few where it was and most that I did, no longer play. Everybody has at least a week to go exploring the whole shard and make note of things which is more advice than I want to give.
One last note, for those who think the fix is in, you don't know me. If you did know me, that thought would never have crossed your mind. If I wanted to have my friends or fellow vets get all the glory, then I wouldn't bother to go through all of this publicity to do it.

Thank you for doing this, I have not yet had the pleasure to attend such a milestone event!

The event will be running on and off starting tomorrow, perhaps a few early, then most likely some more in the evening. (I am in USA central time). It took several days to do it last time and I have many more questions this time than last, so my guess is that it will last as far as Tuesday. I am not sure if I will run it Sunday as I do not want to interfere with the Easter Egg hunt plus I have one of my own to stage that day; most likely I will not and pick things up on Monday. My riddles and Find Me's have a 15 minute timer on them before I move on to the next, and the last event told me that you guys will need all of that 15 minutes to figure things out. Like my previous post, all of my riddles were solved last time, but only a few were done fairly quickly. And I promise, some of these this time will make you think. I may be giving things away but if you think it will be easy or do not prepare, then I doubt you will win any of them. So, 15 minutes per question plus going 30 minutes in between questions usually, stretches this event out. The 30 minutes in between gives me a chance to reward previous question winner, retrieve next prize, move on to next location, post riddles on forums if necessary and give everyone else a chance to do other things while this is going on.

As I said before in the opening post, this is as New Player friendly as it gets for the quality of prizes ,so if any of you newer players do not participate, you are only hurting yourself. I can't emphasize enough for you all to read the first post of this thread to help prepare for this. Good luck and I will see you all Saturday.
