When a beast spawns in 3 rooms in a dungeon and one player has been killing it, is it allowed for them to claim all 3 of the rooms and kill the monster you are attacking?
aka player 1 in room 1 killing monster. player 2 in room 3 killing it. player 2 finishes, goes to room 2. monster spawns and player 1 runs in and attacks with pet, effectively stealing the kill.

If you were attacking before the other player got there then they decided to kill it, that is kill stealing. In the case you described where two players are there for the same spawn the players should alternate who gets kills. The easiest solution would be that one player get room 1, the other gets room 3 and both take turns on room 2.

No, it's still considered kill stealing. You can camp one spawn spot at most, you can't claim to be camping an entire dungeon just because you're in it. I assume it's from Blood.

Each room is considered a separate spawner and you can't camp them all at once. Besides it's first come, first serve - if you were in the room first when the balron spawned, it's yours.
Still, it's somewhat common for people to just ignore the rules of spawn sharing and just kill steal anyway. It's not something that gets punished*, so why bother with rules? Common courtesy is for sissies.
*Unless you have a GM available at that very time, though it usually ends with a warning at most.

That seems to be the general consensus yes... I have more or less quit hunting because there is no such thing as common courtesy or decency.. Not many people know what HONOR is anymore...
if i go to Blood, and see someone there hunting.. I do NOT try to look for a spawn they are not killing.. I came back later allowing them the dung, just because thats the way it SHOULD be.. courtesy, Honor, Morality...
i cannot force "MY" morality, my sense of values on anyone... but were it within my power.. well.. we wont go there...

I have to disagree a bit with you guys! I've been hunting in several spots lately and courtesy was always there. 4 ppl hunting laby and it was really fun because we all did our thing and no steal. First arrived first served. I'm sorry that you guys have had so bad experiences but please dont generalise. They are good people here lots of them.

I also have to say that for the past 3.5 years of playing here, I can count on one hand the times I encountered kill swipers, a couple ending with staff having to threaten time out. It happens, but it's good to remember that 90% of the players here are very courteous. Just don't let it people like that ruin your day

Problem mostly will be in Blood or Lurg cave, where a few rooms are close together, each one spawning a decent mob aka money.
I just wait for the day, a guild camps evry moneymaking spot.
Even though rules say, there should be turns, I`m fairly sure, there won`t be.
Sadly, in todays, there mostly isn`t even a greet, when a player approaches.
Oh, one thing for those bad tamers...
I also saw players with high EQ having same behave as tamers with pets.
So its not just tamers, who are "the bad guys", aye?!!
Accidently pets may attack, if a mob flags them, but in normal the owner should be able to call them back, when he sees someone attacked the mob first.
Same can happen, if someone recalls on a spot, where a mob is spawned.
But, sorry guys, thats the prob of those recall campers.
As long the economy is overpriced, ppl will hunt for money like the devil for souls.
