Yup, I remember playing when I was way young and loving it but never really understanding. I love hardcore PvP and such in mmos, and want to know if I have any chance of getting even somewhat decent on this server?
Also is it all just macroing like it is on other freeshards from what I've read?
Thanks!

Good thing you've done some research and found the forums
Now, the uoex wiki is a good place to start, usefull guides in there
As for starting in game, when you learn the basic commands and such you should start by raising stats and possibly doing the young player quest (aka rat quest) for some organics (valuable resource used by bio engineers/in bio engineering) to get some cash by selling em
As i see it, macroing is an option, not a must. Yes you can propably macro everything you want here but it does take the fun out pretty quickly
Macroing is limited on some stuff: any resource gathering afk is not allowed.
This is mostly PvM shard, we don't have PvP allowed here unless you go to PvP dungeon or if you are on a guild (you can PvP with guildies but some guilds do not allow it)
You can PM me, Gaara, in-game if you got any gameplay questions and such

Re: New to UO looking for somewhere to start
Hello. I'd like to know where is the server located and how many players are there usually online.

Re: New to UO looking for somewhere to start
I believe server is located in Canada. It will tell you when you log on how many players online, but it seems to be 120-160 for the most part.

The server is located in Slovenia I believe

It got moved to Canada for sure. But a lot of people play from all different time zones so no worries there.

Thanks, everyone.
Actually I'm moving to Canada on January so I have been searching for Canadian or American shards.
I still don't know what shard to play on. It has been a while since last time I played UO.

For sure the server was located in Slovenia, but I've heard it moved to Montreal Canada. But as this isn't a PVP shard, it doesn't matter.
Getting your skills up is easy here, it's not really the skills that make you "good" here, its the gear. Since it's not PVP there really is no rush, just enjoy the journey.
There are lots of customized things on this shard, it's what makes it a unique experience. Log on and start playing, there are plenty of helpful people to make friends with, give it a try and find out if this shard is for you.
