Humble Gratitude!

Post by SOL »

So, last night, after like, hours of you know, hedging juggernauts and feeling like
YOU CANNOT STOP LOOKING AT ALL GAUGES and
YOU MAY NOT STOP RUNNING EVER and
Yes, you died so many times you ran out of insurance money...
inside some most horrible nightmare variation of Skara Brae...
on the curtails of Acacia's laughter...
only known in the particular shard of Excelsior...

I went to turn in the book for the last part.
End-game pants! Here we come! Yeah baby!

-ssquinty eyess--

Where's it at?

Ok is it like the sanctuary coin?
"It's a grey disk.."
Hrm...

(O)(O)
NOOOO!!!
It didn't give me the part!

ALL THAT INSANITY...
ALL THAT TIME...
ALL THAT HELP...
It took us a week to all block out time for this!
We went into the prison anyway. -_-
-_-
We cleared the room. -_-
And played rock paper scissors.
And looked in each other's backpacks for the missing disk.
And made grapes, ham and cheese for the prisoners.
It was that weird moment when everything you were just working on is - ! - gone!
Should we stay? **yawn** should we **zzzz** *go* zzZZZ--``
You're just stunned and stupefied and tired.

So I opened up logs and sent the screenshots to God and sent in a prayer,
and the next morning an Angel whispered, "Hey, God doesn't do that quest, send them to me..."
and then she appeared on my screen
and told me even though I was sometimes on her naughty list
she still caught up with the Divine Genius behind the Scariest City Ever just as he was disembarking,
and he knew precisely what happened
that I moved when I should have been still
and they found my part floating in the void and
put it in my backpack
and then waved their wands so that same room would hitherforth be easier to be still in for everyone.

Oh man.
:D :D Oh man!
THANK YOU!
That would have been such a drag to collect all that stuff again!
xD xD
I am so glad there is someone out there who can within a day get back to the over 100s of us playing
for those NOoOOOOoooOOOo kind of moments
and make them **all better**

Ya'll rock thanks for saving the day :)

:)

I think now that +V has Touria for all his devious player-slaughtering plans to be outlet into, he doesn't mind making Sgail a little more manageable. He said he'd work on that quest when he gets a chance, and try to eliminate the delay between taking the book and giving the item, so movement won't be as much an issue. And as I announced, he already approved my request to make mobs not spawn in the quest buildings, so that's been implemented too. Hopefully these things working in tandem will make the quests a little more "juggernaut proof"

Edit: Oh and a good general rule for when y'all need our help with a quest/area is to go directly to the one who created it. All the basic UO quests, most of us could assist with those. But if you email coli about an issue with Sgail, he's just going to pass it along to +V anyway. It takes longer, since it's going through extra channels, so in the interest of saving time, send a page directly to whomever's quest/area it is. We may end up having to ask Coli for info we don't have access to, but we're more likely to get a quick reply from him in most cases than a player sending him an email for a project he doesn't maintain. If it's one of my projects, you can email me any screenshots or a longer explanation, but please also send a page so I find out about your issue quicker. If it's for Sgail or one of +V's projects, you can send a page, or email me to pass on to him.
