Bees & Helper Elves & Water

So I've been trying to have bees on this plot at our guildhouse forever.
I am co-owner, not owner, and the owner is on extended absence.
I friended a Master Beekeeper to the plot and friended all the hives.
After 10 days, all the hives except one were still at 10k, so we pulled the plug.
On the 11th day, they all went to 20k, and a couple had some produce.
The NE most corner hive is at 40k with produce. No other hive is like it.
There are no other sources of water on the plot, no troughs, no more pitchers, nothing.
There is a pool on the plot to the south (seen in pic.)
I'd remove it to test more but its got yardwork on it.

The setup works, its a copy of a friend's who's works fine.
The beekeeper's potion talents are superior, he is banking off his personal set.
I've heard co-owner/friend can't grow bees, but that seems silly...
like a bee would notice you weren't his owner and stop producing honey xD
Plus I'm the one that set them up - they never even met the owner!
And besides all that there's the logic of that one hive that seems to be working...

So... what's going on here? I was hoping to have a friended hive area for our guildies! :D

Thank you for insight or advice!

To have bees you need to put the deeds up in a house that you own ... When you place a deed as a co owner you are doing it on behalf of the owner not for yourself ... If that were the case you would be able to change security on chests and such ... which you cannot ... Bees ae linked to the account of the person who owns the house they are placed in and that is the only person who can acutally tend the bees ...

So that is your first issue .. You need to put up a plot for yourself .. Bee keeping is a individual task not a group task .. You can only tend bees you own .. that is why they keep failing because you are not able to apply potions to them to take effect and produce ...

So if you set this up on your own land in the configuration you have it should work with out an issue.

When I place the hives, they are secured to co-owner, I have to resecure them all to friend for any of the friended members to open the gumps and potion them. Not sure why it allows me to set security on hives as co-owner but it does.

Also we can potion them, and the next day the potion reqts reflect those potions.

If there was some blanket rule that you had to be owner for this to work, then why would I be able to access them at all, and further, why would some of the hives be consistently functional (the NE corner)?

yes as a co owner you can place them and put potions on them but they will not do anything ! ...

You have to be the owner of the house period in order for them to work correctly ...

(bees stop becoming effective at producing and such at about 24 hives ... )
The owner of the house you are co owner to may have other hives other than the ones u placed which boosts the nbr of hives linked to him ...

Get a plot of your own and put them up and try it and you will see that they will work just fine then

Wait, where do you get a Master Beekeeper?
