how to improve ability to make exceptional fletching items

hey everyone, i have 120 fletching, 100 carpentry and 100 arms lore.
for me to make an exceptional crossbow the chance is only 40%, how can i improve my chances?
carpentry or arms lore? or by getting +* fletching items?

Well first you can get 120 carpentry and second you can use runic tools to up your fletching ability beyond 120 and you can also get 120 armslore as well... Those are all things that will boost your chance beyond your current 40%

Carpentry has nothing to do with Fletching, so it doesn't matter what your skill is in carpentry as far as making bows/crossbows goes. Arms lore gives you a bonus to the highest intensities you can get on a weapon/armor, and won't affect the chance to make the weapon/armor. Also runic tools don't affect the chance to make the weapon, they just affect the intensities of the abilities that show up when you craft it.

The only way to increase the actual chance to make the weapon/armor is raising the skill itself. So if you want better than 40%, raise your fletching skill. You can do this with the crafting armor (+1, +3, or +5 per piece and up to 6 pieces for a maximum bonus of +30). I can't remember if there are ancient fletching hammers or not, but if so, they would also help, but you must have it equipped to use it.
