animal breeding

Hello all! I am a relatively new player of 15ish days and I was wondering why pets like dragons and others are still set to 3(depending on the pet) pet slots when they are inferior to mules and nobles.

There is a re-design of the system in the works for sometime down the line. There are other things taking priority currently.

Another thing for consideration Requiem is why are pets not breedable after level 42? It's a hassle to train them a simple mistake could cause a pet that took months to get to that point, almost useless. I know it's a simple change on the coding side of it. Just some feedback from someone that's been breeding for a while.

Part with lvl 42 not everything is to be easy and if changed to max of 45 most would afk train the pets with 42 if goes higher u have to be alert and there all part of breeding and part of strategy involved otherwise why not just have them tamed as max and breed max lvls its to be challenge to those dedicated to end reward.

Yes but I have been dedicated to breeding for well over a year and have still ruined pets accidentally. Before I had access to a personal trainer I had pets accidentally attack monsters again after I pulled them back because of aggro. I don't know if afk pet training an issue. It takes about 5 minutes of fighting on a trainer to max them out, or maybe 15 minutes in the wild. Also anyone that has bred an animal to max already knows of the challenges (frustrations) faced with the high failure rate of breeding and the possibility of pets being born sterile. Granted, a low failure rate would just fill the server with max animals so that is understandable but ruining a pet that I spent months working on just because he hit a monster 1 too many times is just cruel

I wanted to know why there is a limit to how many animals you can breed at one time. There isn't any limit with crafting bows or other items and I don't believe there to be a limit to leveling weapons either. So why with animals? Considering i'm a casual tamer who just happened to try and breed all my tamed animals at one time I accidentally hit that cap.
