Excelsior

I'm looking for a uo server to call home but so much has changed I have no idea what's going on anymore. Crafting is really important to me. I really like the grind and the pay off of selling something to someone or making gear for myself. So my first question is: Do most people simply get their gear from monster loot now? How does this effect crafting? When I played pretty much everyone got their gear from player crafters so I'm super confused on what's going on.

I read this server has fletching and carpentry BODs? Are those just like the smithy and tailoring ones?

Guess I'm just lost really. The game is so much different now, which is really exciting to me, but I don't understand it. Any information would be helpful. Especially if you know how things have changed since I played.

Crafters here can make a good living, but there are many customs that make this shard unique. You're probably not going to get rich making armor for other players because we have custom items like relayers and Gem of Completion gear that most players wear. However, there can be a significant payoff in high level crafted jewelry (double max stat, etc.). BODs also provide an opportunity to make some gold with some higher level rewards. With tinkering and taming, you can also create bios (a tank pet for hunting). There's many other crafting opportunities that I'm leaving out as well (Hive Robes & such). The nice thing about this shard is there are so many diverse things you can do and this extends to crafting. I would encourage you to read the wiki and give it a try.
