Taking obtainable items

There was a situation today involving a player taking certain items from another player's house. I'd just like to give a few pointers:

If you have a box in your house that has the secure access set to "Anyone", then that's what that means - "Anyone" can come by and put items in or take them out. If you wish to have a box set so that only certain people can access it, i suggest you set it to "Friends" and then add those people you wish to have access, to be friends of the house. You can have 2 houses on this shard, meaning that you can either maintain 2 groups of people with different containers each can access, or, have one house for access to these private items and the other house for private use.

I know that this logic implies that it's OK to roam around houses and take everything from containers that have the access set to "Anyone" - yes you can do that, but it's not nice. The spirit of the shard is that you share and help each other - and I hope this attitude towards goods and people will be felt more and more in the real world too.

So to sum this up: If you want some container to be accessed by certain people only, you can do so with the tools that are available. If you see something that is free for the taking, think whether you should, and how much you should take.
(I suggest putting a book next to the container in which you could write that a visitor should only take one item, or just the smallest number that's required - and then hope that they will honor your request)

In that regard, I do have several chests set for "anyone" located on my porch for anyone to access. They are mostly monster drops, leftover crafting things, etc... (ethreal leather items, platinum armor, and even some spell channeling weps at times) For you younger players, come by and visit and take what you need. I will always be adding to it as I travel this land. Its located straight up from Orc Fort 5 in Malas. You are also welcomed to go inside and look around but nothing there should be aceessible and if it is, please don't touch. Thanks and have a wonderful Excelsior day!
