Just a really theoretical question to see how you all like the idea. I actually dont have the time to make this happen. But it's a theory i'd like to check out. Just interested in what your opinion is.

Let's start over: we would make a new shard, running on RunUO2 (supports elven chars and new scripts), but it would have considerably less custom scripts - just the breeding, custom bods, and a few other things. The current shard would however be open for whoever would want to continue playing here. The shard would be "brand new" (and for the first month, players would be given better advantage to start the economy).

Keep it this way: we keep this shard we have now, no changes.

That entirely depends on how much would be offered with the ease of new scripts, I know there are a lot of runuo2 scripts out there.

In addition, the new client should be out soon(if I remember correctly), so if it's going to have an emu form making a runuo2 server would be kind of a waste if it's not a long wait until it's available.

They say it's scheduled for spring 2007, but i supose this deadline has been moved to summer or autumn by now.

Downloading the new server and copy-pasting a few scripts isnt much work. It's the delicate configurations that we have built over the past year from player suggestions and alot of reconsidering. I wonder if the new client will require a totally new RunUO server.

in the option for "lets start over" you mention that this shard would remain open for those that wished to play it, does that then mean that some one can play both shards?> the new and the old if it comes to be?
or would some one have to choose where to stand?

Both would be open for anyone to login at anytime.

i know i do not get to play as often as i used to, and i do miss it... but to take the time to anwser this question... if both were open and available.. i would be interested in seeing what runuo2 is like....
