Your own pets attacking you
Your own pets attacking you
There seems to be a bug about pets attacking their owners. I belive this can only happen to those players that are in a guild. Trying to establish if this is something that needs further attention.

It happens to me every time I have my pet set to guard. The trigger seems to be when a monster agro's to me and my pet cannot reach the monster that has agro'd.
For instance, an ogre is across a river from me and I stroll by with my pet set to guard me. If the ogre targets me my pet will initially attempt to reach the ogre, but when my pet can't "path" to the ogre then my pet attack's me.
The fix for me has been to simply tab out before my pet hits me with any spell or attack. If the pet has already hit me I have to tab out then repeat the "all guard" command.
Again, this is a definite, 100% trigger for me.

How about that difference if you say "all guard" and then target yourself, and if you just say "all guard me". I just remembered this, i think "all guard me" isnt bugged...

I've noticed no diffeerence in just "guard" and "all guard".Your pet will defently attack you if you target it by mistake though.Trust me on that haha.Like Cope though I rember it happening whlie I hunt if my pet couldn't get to the target. My old white wrym Berserker was a good example of this.Maybe , just maybe its a chracteristic of the pet?Say the dragon breeds are more aggressive?Just a thought.

Usually the only time it happens is if I'm strolling around with War on and in the course of spamming bandages and heals there's a double click that doesn't register as either a heal target or a bandage target and I attack it on accident.
Slowing down my mouse clicks a tiny bit until I'm sure I have a legit target instead of trying to speed through it too fast fixed that issue 99.9% of the time.

Don't know how helpful it'll be, but I can give you my most recent experience with this. Previously, I had this happen when (as mentioned) I was using "all guard me" and a monster attacked that was out of range. Maybe twice or so this happened, and I'm absolutely positive I hadn't attacked my own pet (I was out of war mode, waiting for it to attack an ancient wyrm, in one case, that was on an unreachable ledge).
But not 15 minutes ago, Llexa and I decided to go challenge the spider champ. Bad enough the Lost Lands are the laggiest of all places (no blame though, it's always been like that, even on OSI shards), but we couldn't fight but a few ophidians/terathans without our pets attacking each other instead of the enemies (we each had 4 in our ward).
We slogged our way to the champ area, and of course being lagged by the sheer volume of spiders, we had to use "all guard me" just to keep from being poisoned to death. But then our pets started attacking either each other, or us! In my case, one attacked me, and the other 3 killed IT due to them guarding me, and me being totally surrounded by creepy crawlies so I couldn't get out. And of course that gave my pet a 5% stat loss (which I must say is infuriating by the sheer amount of gold/tokens we spent breeding them up). Because of all this, we had to give up and get out of there while we could.
This also happened a bit while we were hunting energy crystals at the minoc mines. An earth elemental on higher ground would attack, our pets couldn't get to it, and they'd go for each other instead.
I don't know if unguilding ourselves would fix this problem, but I hate to do that because of some bug. And couldn't the stat loss be eased off or cut until this problem is fixed? There's something displeasing about losing hard work because the idiot animals kill each other.
