Announcing player's wealth

I had this idea about announcing top 10 richest people in the game. Do you think that would be a good thing, a kind of a "wall of fame", or would it be an intrusion into the privacy, i.e. someone's bank weight isn't the right of the public to know.

Depends of if the people that would be on that list if they wanted to be named, I guess.
Personally, there are way more interesting facts for me than just the richest players, part of it being that I'm never ever part of that list

I would suggest to release the figures not the player names.

That would give some motivation on the money earning part ^^

Yea maybe i'll just announce the figures and not the names

The three currencies would be looked on: gold, tokens, and excelsior dollars.

One problem I can see you will have is how are you going to get a true figure ? You could easily look in peoples banks for the gold but what about all those 1 million checks I am using as place mats ?

I personally wouldn't be intersted. My values would change as I hoard stuff till I can afford the gadget I'msaving for and then I spend it. I only keep enough gold for insurance for a bad day and the rest gets spent as fast as I earn it. I'd hoard more but I can't make the auctions to buy the top toys and I can't compete with the top players so I don't spoil my enjoyment of this great shard by trying.

Well, from the results of this poll i've concluded that info shouldnt be given out, I might just release the figures of top 3, but without the names.. Or maybe i'll just keep it to my reference.

The counting would be automatic and would include all your characters, pet's backpacks, banks, backpacks, and houses.

sure, i would like to see a top 5 list (amounts only) of the highests amounts... only prob is if you put names up there... you will have the noobs finding those people and BEGGING them unmercifully for gold...

Well i think it was a bad idea... even on the tax report we get, on the envelope there's a writing "Tax privacy! Only the recipient may open this letter!". I think the biggest problem would be with people begging
