Trying to find out the price per ingot for each ingot...?
After i know this ill be able to sell so if your looking to buy ingots of any color it would benefit both of use to help a nub :):)
Thnx
Personally, I think all the prices are too low on stuff you have to work long to collect like ingots and wood, but like others, I'm also not willing to pay too much for it when I need to buy some. 13 - 15 is more of an average price for iron, I'd also add 2 or 3 to each of the other prices. In reality, for how long you need to mine (In person, as it's not allowed to be afk macroed) iron SHOULD sell for 20 per or so, it would be a much better ratio for how absolutely boring and what a PITA it is to get :/
I completely AGREE i say we change it to 20 per or atleast some where in that range becuz it does Take Tons of time and is extremely boring...i mean if us miners dont mine it who would sell it ? no one youd have to do it your self and why is it that your buying ingots anyways ? cuz you know its VERY boring and takes lots of TIME....AM i wrong ?
The vendor sells them for 18. If you get over that people will just buy from them instead of you. Regardless, you're the ones with the ingots, you pick your price.
Since I see very few ingots for sale, should I assume they're in demand and hard to keep in stock, or not stocked due to lack of interest? In any case, mining relaxes me, so I'll be generating ingots. I can't imagine selling iron for 20 each, though -- seems way high to me.
I don't think you can nail down an official price for resources; there are too many variables, especially human ones. Just choose the price that works best for you.
heh, Ive bought several hundred thousand Iron ingots at ten, but prices do change. RL has been keeping me way too busy lately, but that will slow down as fall approaches and i will be on more.. a LOT more I will again be buying ingots. I will check the average prices and update my list!
I do agree. 20 per iron ingot is outrageous, i am legendary miner, vendor sells for 18 so selling for 20 is far too much but if people are going to start selling at 20 then I may as well mine my own as it is not hard to accumulate many ingots in a short time frame and you can macro then mining you just cannot go afk while macroing. I can generate atleast 1k ingots minimum an hour so pretty easy to get. the most I have ever paid was 12-13 per ingot and would not pay more than that. I usually buy in bulk at 10 and when i have had them to sell I would have usually sold for the same 10-12each. once again its for the crafters not the adventurers. You want to sell at 10 i will buy character name: Phoenix if there seems to be a shortage of ingots let me know i can spend a day or two mining next week to generate 1ks of them
I guess ingots were cheaper before. When I started just over two months ago, 15ea for iron was considered cheap, and I sold at that price all day long. I still do. My point is that I wasn't the one that set the selling price; the buyers did.
I'd certainly be interested in hearing about any ingot vendor that sells iron for less than 15ea and actually bothers to keep that vendor stocked.
In any case, it's a free market---the bottom line is supply and demand. It's not like consensus here makes any difference to the price of ingots in the wild. As with organics, the price things used to be makes no difference now.
I feel that 15g/ingot is a good price and it doesn't need to change.
It's so easy to get gold here and selling ingots for lower than that makes it not even worth the time spent mining. Whether at 15g/ea, or even at 20g, it's hardly a fast way of making gold (though it is completely safe and challenge-free).
For those of you who prefer to obtain gold and buy ingots, consider one of many methods of making gold which would give you something you want other than gold as well (powerscrolls, recipes, artifacts, rare dropped items, so on and so forth).
Then there is no longer an easy direct comparison of gold/time vs ingots/time.
I usually pay 15 gp per but sometimes there are shortages and you see the price go up to around 20. Would generally just mine myself if I needed a few ingots to make something. Will add that for leather I pay 9-10 gp per as well.
Well i would just like to add that I just finished buying 25k ingots at 10 each and even gave him 25k for his trouble making it 275k for 25k ingots as i am aware of the work involved. If you are in need of a k or 2 pm me and i am more than willing to sell to you for the cost of what i paid for them as I have a standing order with this person to once again buy another 25k next week as it only took him one night to get that original 25k iron not to mention all the colour he would have gotten as well.
Character Name: Phoenix Once again i paid 10 each and gave him extra 25k for his troubles making it actually 11 each. I would buy always at 10 or 11. even 12 but 20 far too high I would rather mine my own
So you'd rather have prices jumping between 10 and 20, with iron being sometimes unavailable when you need it, rather than just 15 and always available on a well-stocked vendor? Well, that's okay.
