Ceara, I was just joking, no one would pay $100 for that item. There is certainly nothing in game I would sell that fishing rod for, but I promise if I ever decide to get rid of it, i will give it to you free.
Fairis, sounds like you are looking for Fishing Elixirs. They give permanent skill gains. (they look like purple potions)

You need something that says "+Bonus fishing" and I have never seen anything but my fishing pole that does that. Its from an event when the shard was young.
