I just started on the shard and item properties take a very long time to load. I have to be on the map for about 5 minutes before statless "deer mask" turns into "hunters headdress" with properties. Is there a fix for this?

I am using the prepatched client and connecting with razer

Because there is so much there in town center it will always take a long time to load.

Isn't so bad in other areas. But Town Center does take a while.

but not 5minutes? i would try reinstalling uo.

I have tried reinstalling. My friend who started the same time as me has the same issue.

its just lag due to an enormous amount of items concentrated in a single area.... we all have to deal with it. If you're trading items, go to a town, like serpents hold, or bucs den for quicker load times - or, if shopping in Town Center, be prepared to wait a bit.

Like Asmodean said...just about everyone has the same problem. It's pretty much why I avoid TC unless it's absolutely the cheapest place to buy something. Takes a while just to load the vendors you're looking for and then the items on them as well.
