I was wondering how often the guild hues are updated in the hue room when guilds disband?

I'm currently interested in color 2615 for use and wondered if an active guild was using it.

I'm not sure how to post pictures here or I would post with the color. It's primarily a white with dark brown/black accents.

If anyone can help answer this I would really appreciate it.

as far as i know, colors are never released once purchased.

I wonder if there is a list somewhere of the colors purchased. Have you ever heard of anyone approaching a guild to use their color? I know it sounds weird but I really like that color.

color makes a person stand out... but there are people who will let you use their colors only for a number of items.



list of color would be bad... because people like to use color that are already taken. if they listed them all....then erm. well you get the point.

Oh I definitely see where it would be a bad thing, I just wish I knew who or how I could get in touch with the owner. I've been on and off this shard for quite some time but never really noticed anyone with that color so I'm not even sure it's being held by an active person. Oh well, I guess I'll keep using the color that I have been. I appreciate the dialog.

I think, if you can see it in the hue room, the color is not taken. I think.

2615 is a Staff Hue. I know this from extensive testing with hues and colors.

If you see the hue on one of the armors in the hue room (world teleporter > custom > hue room)

then it is okay to use, if not, it has been reserved or outright purchased.

Something like 10% of all hues are currently owned by a guild (probably has gone up since I did this count... might have gotten the new hues as well).

I've asked about this a few times, mostly because I wanted to use 1576... until the shimmering cloak came out and EVERYONE knew about the hue... Anywho, I was told that guild hues would drop when a guild stone drops, meaning EVERY player in the guild would need to either 1. delete their char 2. quit the guild 3. stop playing and let their account expire. So at the minimum, it would take 6 months for a hue to become available, potentially more.
