Developmenting Arena!

Hi Gang

I'm in the process of developing an Arena Style Quest for the server, im 50% the way through.

I wondered what people think of the idea? Would people be interested?

It's a Player Vs Monster not 1 million pets vs Monster! Also I plan for it to us some interest monster not just the type u can just Armour ignore for the win.

I would like know what you guys think are interesting / Hard monster in the game.

Also if u think it is a waste of time and i should move on to my other idea.

How are you going to solve me fighting with my 10.000 gold/day income vs the people that buy 3000 raffle tickets a day and still have money to spare to twink their chars to the fullest?

I've got a couple of ideas for that but i can't disclose them in detail as there might be a few way to exploite them. Alot of creatures i'm in the process of building are tactics based rather then damaged base. Also i was considering have 2 levels of creatures medium and hard lvl.

Be great to here what you consider to be a doable lvl of creature?

When you say monster Mogster how do you mean... like a normal UO monster i.e. Balron?

If so, Is it ment to be a player who has no armor or weapons or something? what's the trick, don't really see how you would get these monsters to your arena, Unless there tameable.

I think this wuld be a great idea. Setting the playing field to a norm could be kind easy. You could make a tile to strip a player of all gear in backpack and body. Then have it give them a single bag to use with band aids in and weapons of a normal lvl include potions heal dex Explosions would be fun, and random armors. It would be much more fun useing wit instead of brute strenght. If you don't like the tile idea, i would say all players must be nakie and nothing in back packs hehe

I would be developing for Shard / Colibri / Other games master to implement. I'm trying to make automatic quest rather than a scheduled event. So arena would have access to any monster in the game and could develop special monster on top.

Yeah I was toying with the naked or own kit ( see below for further details)

In reference to Efanchenko_MM and your question. Yes i was in 2 minds about players using there kit or naked with standard kit. I'm worried about a few issues to do with unequipping and sending there stuff to the bank, though i'm worried that an item might piece goes missing if there is a save or something. I want the arena to be little to no effort for the admins.

These are the type of idea that i really like and thank you both for you input.

How about an auto unequip so it just drops into your bag, But then the tile would auto equip the special armor/weapons that can't be taken off to be replaced with someones levelable weapon for arguements sake.

It's a nice idea almost like a test of tactical skills to defeat a monster rather than just pure power, with a few hours time limit between each battle?
