Alright, I'm sure something has been mentioned about this a thousand times, but I've been in several MOA Spawns where I request to tame it, not one says no or anything like, there is never any agreemade, so I tame the Mule, but always someones comes over and kills it on me. Or they will say something like I was here first etc. How do I know they was here first, and they never declared they wanted the mule until I attempt to tame it.
So my suggestion is this:
1: First monster killed deems that person the right to tame the Mule (and other people can't kill it/attack it etc)
2: If that person isn't still around at the end of the spawn, it will randomly select someone (or whoever got 2nd kill etc)
3: If the person with the 1st kill is unable to tame the creature, it will then allow the following person who can. So 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc kills.
4: If the person doesn't attempt to tame it within X minutes, it becomes available to anyone, but once that person attempts to tame it they have the right to continue to tame it until it is theirs.
I think this is in fact fair. Cause I tame them really for the leather, I'm a new player and everything helps me. But my family enjoys the breeding in this game so I give the mules to them. But I wouldn't mind breeding sooner or later, and I just wanna punch my keyboard every time someone comes up and shocks it/kills it etc. I mean it's a form of harassment but I do not see anything in the wiki that says no you can't do that, so I figure doing this will solve that issue forever.
Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
It would be nice if something could be done about this. On a non-pvp server, people are always looking for ways to grief others and unfortunately killing the mule you're trying to tame has become a server constant.
Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
I agree that this is a situation that is unpleasant. But the current resolution is just as narcissistic as the initial Offender killing the mule if they can't have it. When i was first brave enough to go to fel (had to GM stealth first
) and discovered those mules, I needed help with them to become tamed. either by me pacifying them for someone taming, or taming while someone else did the same for me. Your proposal would remove the whole spirit of team play. I wish i had a better solution, but I still don't mind standing around after an MoA and spamming peace on the mule for someone. Disallowing something that simple would prevent a lot of players from ever having a conversation.
But that's just my opinion

Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
i wish to request the mule no longer require submission to be tamed and be flagged blue.
i know this removes the realism of the mule.

Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
If my memory is correct, there is a NPC in Felucca that rides a mule, on the road between Britain and Trinsic in a tiny building. She's surrounded by kitties and bears though, which is the only obstacle.

that's master of the species (?), it rides a nightmare
Failure is not an option, it's a standard.
Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
I believe the animals here except for the nightmare are not hostile, tho i know for sure the bear requires submission to be tamed. that master is the worst guard ever, i take him outside behind the building if hes not stuck and hide and walk back inside.Ceara wrote:If my memory is correct, there is a NPC in Felucca that rides a mule, on the road between Britain and Trinsic in a tiny building. seriously no comments on the mule taking out a mountain lion? took me a few mins of google fight a mule to find that.
Re: Gotta do something about MOA Mules.
I'm sorry! I really thought it was a mule.
