Just wondering if we could add ED to the gold or token stone? Would make it for those that do not have the means to get ED to get it a bit easier then pray for people to sell.

I dont think thats very wise, that would mean everyone would have more or less everything very rapidly. The ED are in place to ensure not everyone gets decked out in max stuff immediately. Putting it on the Gold or token stone would just mean that you could farm gold all day and get decked out in ubergear and whatnot..

yeah, i could be an uber person in mins if they did that, with 50 mil gold in my bank, i could have it all, an then some... whats stopping me? the ED... i look at it like the ED targets the rich, an puts a balance in it, thats why ED come around with events, milestones, and mostly auctions... now how often do those 3 events appear? often, but not too often, an sometimes the staff will throw a few on the chat (not often enough, hehe)... but it doesnt only target the rich from owning everything, it can put an unbalance to some people, but that gives a good goal to work towards

To explain why there's no fixed exchange rate...

ED are a very closely monitored currency, a staff member cannot change an amount that is in a stack or duplicate stacks. The only way to make ED in game is with a special command. To prevent any counterfeiting there should be a " : Genuine : " writing if you hover your mouse over them.

Gold can be harvested in many places, some places may even give a lot more gold than what we would want. Such gold wells are usually kept very secret and it's not uncommon that they can go for weeks or months before staff hears about them. If you can buy ED directly with gold, that would mean that if a player finds a cool super secret way of making millions per day, that player could get a lot of ED.

There's also no ed->gold rate or way (for example that a 1 million check would be on the 50ED donation reward list). This is to promote selling of ED that players get through a donation to other players who can't donate. I played on a shard where there was a fixed exchange rate (well most shards have it like that) and there really way no way of getting donation rewards with Gold... you had to be very lucky and propose a double price in gold for something, if you got someone who was just donating to get gold.
So the ED-Gold ratio will be dynamic, depending on the supply/demand of both gold (gathered from spawns and such) and ED (gotten from donation rewards).
