I can't say I've experianced much in the way off 'spam' on global chat to be honest.... get the odd few who do it every few minutes but give up after a couple of times...

I and yeah the 'ignore' button is there for anyone and does pretty much the job if you don't want to put up with it.

Or another idea is if there was a button to vote for ignore on a player if say 6 or more people click the button then it would open a gump, like a message so it's not covering the screen to do a shard vote... over 70% for yes to mute the player for say 30 minutes...

But can't see an IP ban being the solution, That is just outrageous to suggest it.

what about a delay for everyone? say you speak and would have to wait 30 sec to speak again?

A delay could work but might be a problem when the staff do Trivia and stuff through chat, maybe... who knows

Trivia should be pm'ed to the staffer for event. would make people think before they speak.
