Would it be possible to have bios go in stable instead of going wild? It's an expensive mistake to do
I just lost 3 bios

Perhaps it would be possible to have different kinds of bios?
This perhaps would give bio creators something different to offer then (Oh that same bio) and players a chance to say.. no bio maker, I would like the other kind of bio
While half on the discussion, maybe a lot of pets need to be re-looked at as far as the number of follower slots is concerned, a lot of 1 slot pets really need to be 2..(in my opinion) and a few 2's and even 3's could be dropped one.
Think about it, I can tame a cat in the streets of britian and it is the same as a maxed imp.

I do agree that imps are a little crazy. I used to run a pack of maxed and they were hitting dark father in doom for 300+ a hit.
I am fine with most of the pets though. Its supposed to be a fun game. Some people have fun steamrolling everything with pets, some people have fun doing it themselves.
However, I would like to see beast bio's get a bit of a bump in power. Maybe a higher base stam regen so they can use special/counters like the human bios can or something like that.
But, all in all, the pets are fun and since there is no pvp, it isn't a huge huge problem imo.

thumbs down. This is entirely on you if you decide you want to leave bios out for 24 hours

I didn't actually decide to let them go wild..
But as for buff for beast bios, ridable 5 slot beastie would be cool

Or another way to get some difference between bios:
Beasts:
- 3 slots
- 3k hp
Human:
- 2 slots
- 1k hp
This way, if you wanted that 3k hp tank in front of you, you'd need a beast. Or if you'd prefer a bit more technical approach, human bio.

I think another thing a lot of people don't realise is that to get maxed stats on a bio, resists are usually low. With humans you can armor them to get 70s resists. However beast bios with 75 max is all well and good, but to get them to 75 is hundreds (million in gold) in oints.
It's a shame cause beast bios break things up from the norm a little. Would be nice to have people who weren't equipped with yumi shield and imp pets or human bios

Why even make a beast bio? Isn't that just a waste of materials...
If bio's are meant to be the ultimate pet, shouldn't they all be the best they can be with counter healing?
The reason to gimp yourself on makin these eludes me.
But, it sure does beat gathering the same hard to get dna, without worrying if your gonna get the good stuff, I suppose.

That was the point i was making above. A human bio with the same stats and specials is stronger than a beast bio. It can heal with bandis, use mods on armor etc. I think Beast bios should be given a boost so that they are on par with the humans.
krystol wrote:If bio's are meant to be the ultimate pet, shouldn't they all be the best they can be with counter healing?
Who is to say counter healing is the best special on a bio? Some people prefer counter blunt, as they can heal with bandis... Some people like comet attack others like trial by fire.... depends alot on what you are fighting. I dont think specials are the problem. I even enjoy use counter poison every now and again. I also dont believe they are the ultimate pet. Imps can do everything bios can do, with a little more work from the player. (ressing, healing etc)
krystol wrote: The reason to gimp yourself on makin these eludes me.
To try and move away from the norm. I hate that everyone looks the same does the same and attacks with the same on a shard where there is no skill cap. Like i said, how boring that the shard is full of one haned yumis with shield, imp pets and human bios. We might as well get rid of everything else is the game.
krystol wrote:But, it sure does beat gathering the same hard to get dna, without worrying if your gonna get the good stuff, I suppose.
It is exactly the same DNA samples to get maxed human as it is maxed beast. The resists on both are usually around the same. Make no mistake it is as hard to make a beast bio with good specials as it is a human. Hence the reason i think beasts need to be looked into.
Didnt mean to pick your post apart... just seems to me you are speaking as someone who has no concept of how hard nor indeed have you ever made a bio. So its a little like me trying to tell someone how they should invest their money properly in the futures exchange. I also hate the attitude "why do it differently? It works you should do it that way" ... Seems a little aryan nation to me. Lets have everyone look the same and use all the same gear... I think with pet breeding being so time consuming and Bio making being so difficult and expensive, in an economy where you can buy an imp pet for as little as 400k, it will make both of these great custom features to the shard obsolete.
Before you say I am saying this out of self interest, I barely sell bios. I make beasts cause they look cool and I tend to give them away to guildies. In the time it takes to sell i bio I can make the money grinding, usually.
Anyhoo

id prefer anytime you refer to racist organizations that i not be part of. with that said, a counter healing bio with bandaids will outlast any beast bio in hallows keep. i use this example as its the only place i know of where you cannot heal your pets. i do agree with your attempt to make beast bios more unique. for the record i have attempted to make myself a bio, but after failing to make 3 or 4 vial sets i havent tried again. i was going to gather dna after i completed those. i would not say i know anything about makin bio's beyond what the wiki tells.

Agreed. Letting Beast bio use band aides would also bump it up in feasibility as well. Base % for stam leech would be nice too. May be asking too much on it though.
Just odd they are lacking so much compared to human bio but require the same items to make. Beast bios are even harder depending on which type you want to make since the mimic sampling is based off the creature's HP. Some have a ton of hp (skeleton dragon) compared to hp from humans you can pull samples from.
