Title: Bael'Nefario Revealed
When: February 28th @ 8:00pm EST (00:02:00 Shard Time)
Class: Level 3 - 4 challenge level, due to range of monster difficulty
[Guidlines: http://uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14901#p14901 ]
What to expect:
Monsters of varying difficulty, meaning there will be monsters that will be a good 1-on-1 match-up with younger characters that have at least 50's in resistance, 100 in their main weapon skill of choice, and 100 hitpoints. There will also be monsters that will be a challenge in small numbers with multiple well-equipt players with 70s in resistance, 120 in main weapon skill, and 200+ hitpoints.
Duration: 30-60 Minutes
Rules:
1.) No pets, mounts only. For a full explanation of this rule, this means the only pet you should have out is the one you are riding. No biopets, no imprisoned pets, no summoned pets. Ethy mounts are allowed and mirror images are allowed. If I see a pet fighing, I will shrink it to your pack.
2.) The following spells are not allowed: Enchanted Grove, Volcanic Eruption, Stone Circle.
Resources:
Ankh and a 10 gold Corpse Stone
Tips:
1.) Before leaving for the event make sure you have all items insured or blessed, put all items that you don't have insured or blessed (and that you don’t want lost) in your bank or left at home, and that you have at least 50,000 raw gold (not in bank check) in your bank for insurance payments upon death. I am not responsible for items lost off your character due to lack of insurance payment or monsters looting your corpse (eg: Lich).
2.) Come into the event with the assumption that you will die 20 times. That way, you will be pleasantly surprised that you only died 15 times. Complaining that you keep dying in an event that is suppose to be a new and challenging experience, and that is a change from typical dungeon exploration just frustrates me and others in the event. I monitor the event from within the event, and I have reduced the spawners as well as the properties of specific monsters currently being fought if they are too much to handle for the current hunting party, so keep that in mind. If you are still upset over your luck in the event, I suggest staying dead until the area is cleared by other players, walk in death form to a clear area and get resurrected, or you may leave the event entirely and save yourself from the frustration.
3.) Lag happens, inside and outside the event for some players. Since the installation of the router, I have seen a huge improvement in the lag within the shard, and this is the testimony of most players as well. However, I cannot predict how each player will do with the lag during the event, so I will announce when the event will start. During this time I suggest all non-participants to stay in an area that is safe until it is seen that the lag is playable. Events don’t happen all of the time, so it is a small thing to ask those who are experiencing bad lag to take an hour break from the game and come back when the event lag is gone.
Important: If the lag is shard-wide and makes the game unplayable for all players, I will do my best to quickly stop the event. However, understand that if the whole shard lags, I will lag as well. So, my fixing the situation may take longer than usual.

Re: Veritas Event Thread
By the way veritas, that event was amazing.
I think the coolest part was when BaelNefario yelled "NOW RISE TRIBULATION" and I was tanking the shadow device and all the little shadows it was spawning and I died immediately after that.
I was like
"...wow."
been a long time since I could honestly say 'wow' at this game.
ty for the event.

Re: Veritas Event Thread
I agree, that was a very fun event! Thanks for setting up and hosting the event +Veritas.
I was basically shooting arrows and healing the warriors the entire time (Gwen being one of them). I was distracted by the final form of Tribulation when a shadow crept up behind me and killed me.

Title: The Dreadnought
When: May 16th @ 7:00pm EST (00:01:00 Shard Time)
Class: Level 3 - 5 challenge level, due to range of monster difficulty
[Guidlines: http://uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14901#p14901 ]
Important Added Note: This went unnoticed until about 80% of the way through the design of the event battlegrounds. Due to the number of non-map embedded static objects in the area, there will be some lag from loading the information about the area. Because of this, I highly recommend walking far enough to aggro monsters to come to you. This way, while the monster is walking to you, you should be finishing up the loading of the immediate area.
Required Gear: Typical hunting/fighting armor and weaponry, and bring a boat. It is also recommended that multiple people share a boat.
What to expect:
This event will have numerous monsters that are easy to kill 1on1 if you are a player who is moderately equipped (aka. At least 100 skill in primary weapon skill, 100 healing, 100 magery, and basic survival techniques….such as running away like a little girl). There will also be some monsters that need numerous players to bring down. However, there will be no fire breathing monsters with hit points higher than 2000.
Highly recommend helping your fellow player with heals and resurrections.
Duration: 30-60 Minutes
Rules:
1.) No pets, mounts only. For a full explanation of this rule, this means the only pet you should have out is the one you are riding. No biopets, no imprisoned pets, no summoned pets (Energy Vortex, Daemons, Blade Spirits, etc..). Ethy mounts are allowed and mirror images are allowed. If I see a pet fighting, I will shrink it to your pack. I will delete summoned pets.

You are expected to follow these rules. Ignorance is not a defence. I will remind all players numerous times during the day of the event about this post, and they will have an opportunity to read it. I will also explain the event rules in the event briefing room before a portal is opened to the event location.
