Hiring new staff

Times change, shard grows... that's why we have open positions in the most exclusive guild on the shard. We are looking for new people that would like to contribute their time to keeping this shard as good or even better as is.

If you apply, and get accepted, you will fist become counselor, then after some time, a GM. Please note that we're looking for *honest* people. If you have any intention of becoming staff so you would get better things as a player, or benefit yourself or your friends, or disbenefit those you dont like, you do not need to read forward.


If you are interested in applying, read forward:

Staffing doesnt require your full attention, but if staff assistance is needed, you must discontinue whatever youre doing as a player and handle the situation, unless if someone else is on that can cover for you.

Before applying, note that the fact someone is a staffmember, is confidential. Please don't tell others that you are applying.

We are looking for top quality staff. We will not have corrupt staffmembers. You must be totally unbiased, totally confidential of what you hear and see as staff. If you are not, then you cannot be staff.

Players applying must have at least 2 weeks of playing here, and a good standing record. It might take a little while before we contact you back, so please be patient.

He will be just like the rest of staff, taking care of situations and inventing new things to make this shard more interesting.

I think you should hire "Compainions" to help the new players, someone with out GM or Staff status, to just show people around to all the nice things this shard has to offer. The Mayor postion for istance should be like this. I do it because I like to help new people and make them comfortable enough to stay with us and it works really well. And if they do not have staff or GM staus then no one can complain if the Companions give the new people items to help them out when starting game, if GM status then it really wouldnt be fair to hand out item. It would be up to the Companion if they wanted to help them out or not or just answer questions. Any support to new players helps them think of the shard as a freindly place to play and they get answers to questions on things that are not on the forums or guides. It makes them feel welcome.

Good idea, thats something i have actually wanted to do last year... The thing is we are small and having half of the players as staff wouldnt be such a good idea. But maybe certain players could apply for this special position, where you would just get a special title, like [Helper] or something, and a special colored robe... The staff powers however need to be kept to a minimum of people.

I myself like being a player, I have been a gm and an admin before, I like playing better

only staff power I want is to be able to recall in and out of FELUCIA... lol

as slow as my connectlon lets me run, it takes me hours to get to a champ and back....

(which is why my limited play for those who do not know)

but I check these boards DAILY to see if anything has changed..

So please post any ideas/changes here and i will chime in with my two cents worth
