Player of the year 2024 vote stone is out! Come by the town center to cast your vote.

We have a big bunch of friendly and helpful players in our community, and it would be great to see the names of those who were most memorable and made the biggest impact.
The vote stone will be up until January 31st, 23:59 shard time. The winners will then be announced. There will likely be an auction on February 1st, so this might take place a short time before the auction.

- The voting stone now supports voting for multiple players. You can select up to 5 players that you want to give your vote to, and distribute a total of 10 points among them.
- Winners of past player-of-the-year votes are excluded from this vote. For the future, the rule will likely be that a player can be voted for after 3 years. Basically, the winner has to skip 2 turns.


The rewards for the top voted players are:
- Winner: A "Key to the realm" (decorative item), to be kept forever. First choice of a rare ethereal mount which they can keep and use forever. Ability to open up a public moongate from anywhere on the shard to the Town Center, maximum 3 times per day.
- 2nd place: Second choice of a rare ethereal mount (for a year). Ability to open up a public moongate from anywhere on the shard to the Town Center, maximum 2 times per day.
- 3rd place: Third choice of a rare ethereal mount (for a year). Ability to open up a public moongate from anywhere on the shard to the Town Center, maximum 1 times per day.

Notes:
- Ethereal mounts: any ethereal mount from the Veteran's Reward menu, plus a few others (i think it's 3-4 but not sure if one of them is already on the veteran rewards list). The winner can ride it forever, and 2nd/3rd place can ride it for a year (can keep the statuette after that, but it can no longer be mounted)
- Public moongate ability can be used until next year's vote for Player-of-the-year.

On that day i turned on the "Opt-in" mode, so that a player has to click to participate in the voting, for their name to be seen. Some might not want to participate. But i think even just a day later, most of the players in the top 15 (that are displayed), have opted-in and it was possible to see the names again.

Just a headsup - when you select a player, they are added to your vote but with only 1 point. Keep in mind that you can assign 10 points.
I will make a little upgrade to this voting user interface, in the next few days I hope, for these unassigned points to be more visible and automatically applied.

(Since this is soon after the auction ends, if the auction runs late because of any technical issues, this ceremony event might be postponed for a bit, let's hope not for any longer than 15-30 minutes).
