Auction September 11th

We're hosting a regular-sized auction this Sunday evening at 21:00 shard time.

As an auction is announced early in the week, there should be the items posted too, but it's just been packed and right now I have less than an hour before I have to go to bed, plus I'm too tired to think about what to put in there. So the items will be announced on Saturday evening. There will be a water house, possibly a weapon (not one of the most uber ones), some regular stuff like a creature on a perch, special spawner. Then some autumn-themed deco, and some regular deco. (maybe even some personal staff items at the end, but that's supposed to be a surprise )

There's also a donation bonus scheduled to start this Saturday.

(And possibly a grand auction on the 24th.)

A few weeks ago I was talking with our oldest (most-long-term) player, who once snagged a water house for 600k, back in probably 2008. Well, around that time, water houses went for around 10 mil, but still, that was a surprising bargain.

The items are now on display. Go to the town center, to the north you'll see the auction house. There's a green gate that will take you to the display area.
If you have any questions about the items, please ask in this thread before the auction. The auction usually moves quite fast and so we can't look into any specific questions about an item as the bids are already rolling in.

If you have any questions about the items, please reply at least an hour or two before the auction starts, so I can look into it and give a correct answer. It's usually hard to dig out any complex compatibility issues when the bids are coming in. Although well, all of these items are pretty standard stuff, so I think we all know of any possible specifics.

I just donated and got the sunglasses. I'm not sure I know what I'm doing. I can't seem to drop the sunglasses into the earing slot so they show up on my character. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Al I can do is click on them and use the item change deed function. I assume this is a one time thing. Will the sunglasses disappear when I use the deed function?

Need to remove headpiece 1st, then put sunglasses on, then put headpiece back on. Not sure why its like this but has been since I've been here

Also, yes the sunglasses are a 1 time use. The earring slot item will become sunglasses. No appearance change deed required. The sunglasses will have whatever stats the selected earring slot item had and the targeted item will disappear.

The house was just fixed to take up 0 house slots, thanks for pointing that out.
The flute isn't coded to be infinite uses (something for the ToDo) but it just has so many many uses that you'll never run out, and eventually i'll upgrade the instrument code to allow for actual infinite uses.

As for the "Poor man's" item, they are intended to be unique so the only time to buy those stalagmites was at that auction. There might be similar items in the future, but not exactly like that.

I see that we left the Poor Man's item from the last auction still standing there, these things are intended to be available only during the auction.
