Hina's - Santa's Stinky Stockings Event

Everyone loved the Pumpkins (well some did not hehe) so I made a similar event but with the bonus of building a RARE Santa suit! (there are 6 pieces and stockings are not one of them)
Deceit Island South East end is "The North Pole" where if you are good or bad I do not think Santa will mind. He only has one thing he is best at...killing! Do not forget the Mrs. and Little Rudolph!!
Santa's Stinky Stockings will spawn and it is up to you how to get them back to the chest outside if you can even get them out of The North Pole. The Event will go till the end of the month the Dec 30th and will give out gifts on Dec 31st to all that enter Santa's Stockings.


Object of the game:
Get pairs of stockings and bring them outside the area and drop them in Hina's Stockings Chest.
Just drop them in and they will fall in a package automatically with the char name you are on allowing me to get your rewards in the end back to you.

How to win: take as many of these stockings as you can get and the 3 people with the largest combined weights will win!

The prizes are as follows:

1st A Weapon type change deed
2nd NPC of choice (no breeder or banker)
3rd An Ankh


Remember all that enter at least one pair of Stinky Stockings will get a prize for trying this event!

This event area is located in fel ice isle south-east tip - there is a gate to it at fel deceit entrance

edit: new found items can now be equiped
santa's sash - spawn on ground
santa's boots - spawn on ground - be aware there is a spot that has a pair of these that cant be moved
santa's hat - spawn on ground
santa's shirt
santa's gloves
santa's pants

if your gonna do this event just get one sock, there is no way to compete :imo:

that sounds great in all but this competition is a free for all - ffa rules - no one works together, and teaming up in a ffa only seems wrong.

if that stinky sock box wasnt in there id give ya a 5/5 :)

hey the shirt spawns by santa and the gloves are on one of the tree plaforms that are on the ground, i have found these three but only gathered 2, the shirt vanished once i died :( sad day for the shirt i think.. to vanish in a wet soggy wonderland of snowy bliss... ahh well off i go to gather socks..

Could be that you are leading with 3 socks and theres 45 odd other people with only 1 sock? Also the prize is a weapon type change.. not a relayer.. which is worth less than half a relayer...

That said i only got one sock and i think that'll do me lol..

All I can say is this is a competition and it was not meant as a ONE MAN/WOMAN I can get it all by myself deal!

My Aim was to try to get people to work together, but seems very few want to do that. I am hearing over and over how hard this event is.
I am not going to make it easier so I get 100 people with 100+ more socks.

With that said.. I read that the suit pieces were not wearable. The spawns are now fixed and +Colibri will be doing a global fix on the rest everyone already owns.

ya i agree the admins work really hard on the events and i'm sure appreciative of what you guys/gals have done but i would think 70-80 percent of people that are at events don't have other people they can do things with. So most events seem to be on there own.

one thing ive noticed was that most peeps are complaining about soloing but those of us that are going in groups and seeing how to work together are getting socks if not at all then at a slowed pace. However we are still getting some. Group wise there are a few peeps that are even running in to die just for others to go and get a sock for the purpose of mer participation prize. whether first place is good or not its still the idea that you won something, and everyone can know that you were able to. It doesnt matter the amount of prize, or the worth, the fact you get one is good enough for me. Ohh and gl to you tamara if i have it right you are in the lead :) and Fiacha you keep up the good work to. Effort makes perfect and thats really what matters, that you tried, not complained about it cause you couldnt. Ohh, and btw hina i think this is really fun, though i die a lot i have a good time running from the deer before hand.. lol. i swear im like raindeer nip to those things. Chase me all over the place ^^ thanks for this fun time passer

Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you saw that it does work in teamwork even if to die so a friend can get a gift for trying
There will be a gate up in Britan today for those of you who have not been or would like to try it.
My advice is go with friends who do not mind dying and use each other to find at least one pair of movable socks and get them to the chest so you so get a nice gift for trying in the end!.
PLEASE if you are going in your gear INSURE/BLESS. We cannot say this enough.

You are welcome. I know how hard it is to work a shard and even harder to maintain one that is as much fun as you haev provided it to be. I noticed that all of you GMs are people whether it be in here or out in the real world. To find the time to give us something to do is not always seen as special occassioned as it should. You guys dont deserve to be put down cause others hate dying, i mean they dont bother to do that when +V makes an event cause they already expect it. So i dont really see how its any different to expect death when doing one of the other GMs events. Its part of the shard, your gonna die and your gonna lose a thing or two money or item... nothing you can do but make the best out of what you got and enjoy the game. Thats how team work is. we get together and work together to have the best time we can in what time we have as a group. everyone else should also think like that. there is no i, in team. and there can be no family with just one person. :) loves hina. you are like one of my top three favorite Gm people in this world of excelsior.

It really is wonderful to see people working together to do these events. We watched during the Halloween event as one player would run around dieing so his friends could get the pumpkins and despite the complaints the overwhelming reaction from player was the event was great. +Hina put alot of work into this newest Santa event and its great to see nice comments about the event.
Once again the people who work together are awesome, I love seeing that.

i got over 20 ppl a pumpkin by myself, for them, and ive even got ppl socks.

Honestly i find that those of us that group get farther in or out of events. The shard is based around those that are gathered, like family. We are all fighting here whether its a Champ or just taking down the skeleton when were a new player, it like family here. You say help were there, you say hi we say it back thats why i love this place fun times and even morefun games. we are working together any other time why not when we have event. so lets be happy and play good, no more of this HOPELESS talk ^^ its fun time.
