Temp: PvP issue

In the previous month, there were several, better said numerous ocasions when certain players were PvPing outside of the PVP dungeon, which is currently the only area in which players area allowed to PvP.


The staff warned players, and it seems that these warnings didn't get much effect. We have to understand both sides: the staff, who are doing their best of working 8 hour shifts for no payment, trying to warn these players numerous times, about rules that have been completely thougt thru; and the players, who are trying to have a little bit of fun with dueling.

The thing behind this rule is, that people look differently upon dueling/PvP. Many think of it as PK, and are afraid about their life and posessions. And most of our best, and friendlyest players, those that are still here and those that were with us in the past, would not feel safe if there was PvP in the streets, or in other public or even rarely-visited places. We started off as a no-PK shard. And that is what most players except when they come here to relax.


We have looked into this matter deeply, and already found some solutions. Some of these solutions were also bought forward by the players, and i'm very happy that the players have also taken some initiative. These solutions will need to be reconsidered and thougt thru, then put into effect. Which will take a few days.

Until we think the new rules thru, and put them into effect (some scripting will be needed), we ask of all guilded players (who can PvP anywhere, even outside of the PvPdungeon), to follow the rules and PvP strictly only in that dungeon.
Should we see anyone breaking this rule, they will be jailed until we make the necesary changes.

I hope that you will understand this rule. Everything has many causes, many consequences, good effects and bad effects. At least to show to the staff that their warnings weren't ignored.
