Week-Long Quest

Post by +Veritas »

>>QUEST CLOSED, SCROLL DOWN TO SEE NEXT QUEST<<

There is currently a quest running from last night/this morning, and ending the 19th at 06:00 shard time.

You can go to Trammel Yew and talk to James the Quest Giver to get the quest book.

Note:
-The monsters are not in town, they are on the outside of town in the directions the quest book states.
-This quest is not repeatable, so turning in a completed book and then going back to the mobs to collect key items is a waste of time.
-The quest items are temporary, so collecting them for deco is not worth it.
-If there are too many players in the area and the spawn seems spread pretty thin, please try again in an hour or so.
-All shard rules are to be followed during this event, including spawn sharing rules like never attacking a mob already engaged with a player unless that player specifically asks for help.

Also, for the interest of motivation...the reward is a 15 use Powder of Fortifying.

Quest ends the 19th at 06:00 shard time.

<<<QUEST CLOSED>>>

New quest as of 9/21/11!!!

The terathans desire retribution for all of the ophidian attacks on their people. Blood must be shed! Talk to Golathorah in the Terathan Keep in Trammel, he will give you the quest and instructions for fulfilling it's requirements. The reward is also on display near Golathorah.

Remember, all shard rules still apply during this quest. Share spawns and never attack a monster that is already being worked on by another player unless they specifically ask for help. This quest is not repeatable.

This quest will be available until October 5th @ 08:00 shard time.

Good luck and have fun!

slow going getting the 15 avengers and 15 zealots, and i thought the other three beasts were too easy to claim boss status, good reward but very boring waiting on spawn and i was the only one hunting while i did it, glad no one else was there or i would have quit the quest.

I liked this quest for 3 reasons: 1) I'm a relatively new player, so the less-than-epic difficulty level allowed me to participate. 2) It wasn't an event, so I was able to participate when my scheduled allowed me to play. 3)I felt this quest was a nice bit of custom content geared towards lower-level players, which makes me, as a newer player, feel more a part of the community.
I love the idea of weekly quests of this caliber! Keep up the fantastic work, GMs!!

Yep, i also love these quests. It's very helpful for new starters without a bunch of EDs.

It's really awesome to do a challenging quest for an exclusive reward; and with the weeklong window, I have so much time to do it. Love them.

New Quest! As of October 24th...

The Retirement of Dread Pirate Roberts

The Dread Pirate Roberts is tired and a bit disgruntled, for there are no more noob sailors to plunder...or at least none worth his time. However, he needs a few things before he can go into retirement. Unfortunately, these three things were stolen from him by sailors that are crew from three ships. Not surprisingly, the ships of these three scumbag thieves have gone missing...I have no idea how that happened... =)

Talk to the three NPCs at the end of the three dock branches to the west end of Bucs Den in Tram. They will give you the opportunity to find the three shipwrecks. Once you do, and you find the loot from them, you must bring it back to the NPCs to have them open it for you. While you will get rewarded for your efforts from each person, the rewards will also contain alternate quest pieces that are marked with a "TEMPORARY QUEST ITEM" tag. Keep these items from each reward for when you find the Dread Pirate Roberts. His location is unknown, but I am sure you can talk to people near the NPCs for some hints.

All shard rules apply to this quest. All key items that are required by the quest book collectors will decay upon the ending of this quest series, so hording 1000 of them will not be worth your time.

The quest will end on the November 13th at 06:00 shard time. Enjoy!
