Finding it very difficult to recapture my glory days playing Ultima at the moment, so on the look out for recommendations for older games that may be worth a play on what has to be the slowest laptop in the world!
Currently running (for a few more weeks only I hope) a P4 Mobile @ 1.8Ghz, and a MASSIVE 256Mb RAM. Although I do have a Radeon 7500 in here, which is certainly better than having some nasty integrated thing!
Managed to get away with Dawn of War thankfully, as it was on of the few DVD sets I have managed to rescue from my old place - essentially that and Freelancer, both installed.
I do have a rather wide taste in games, having (in the past) enjoyed all kinds of games, from UO, Diablo 1,Hellfire and 2, to Quake 3, to Command and Conquer.
I suppose I'm looking for something that isn't too taxing, RTS/RPG/ARPG/MMO, no FPS please, Q3A and Q3TA are enough for me, not the worlds biggest fan of them.
Freeware/Abandonware would be ideal, but I don't mind paying for a few classics.
So wonderful people of the internet.... any ideas?

baldur's gate 1 and 2. There is a mod that links them together, makes for one huge game.
Master of Orion 2. It's a 4x strategy game.
UO shouldn't be that resource heavy, it's like the oldest mmo in the world. It's not working?

Oh no nothing wrong with UO, the game runs fine, it's just me that's having issues - just doesn't seem as fun as it did when I played back in the day. Likely just need to go find a decent guild and really get back into it, but even then I need something I can do in down time. Forgot about Baldur's Gate actually, and iirc I think I bought them from GOG a while back.
