New Year Resolution?

Post by +Osiris »

Ok thought it would be fun to ask,
Every year everyone has atleast one thing they would like to try or do in the coming year ahead,
What's your new year resolution?

I think mine for next year is to try and cut back on those unhealthy foods... I eat alot off junk, Althou i'm not fat, still doesn't mean i'm not unhealthy, So I would like to get more healthy for next year I think, And also depending on my situations next year I might start going back to the gym :)

What's everyone else got in mnd for next year?

Reaping, Man.. you will be in our thoughts and prayers... if i can do anything for you ingame while you are out recooperating please feel free to ask, i will do anything i can to help you. I know that this is a game and is not important in the vast scheme of things, BUT I have faith that everything will come out fine, and you will be back buying up organics again soon and I know you don't want to come back and find a bunch of dead beehives :)

my new years resolution is to try and show more attention to my wife and make her feel more special than I have in the past..

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my Excelsior Friends and their families

Reaping what you and your family face is a very scary thing! The good thing is it sounds like they've caught it early and you're already taking steps in the right direction!! I worked in the medical field for 10 years and if you do what the doctors say and stay commited to the new life style I have faith you'll do just fine :)

My thoughts will be with you!!

As for a Resolution I guess it would be to lose control every now and then. My husband and family tend to think I worry to much and have control issues, although I have no clue where they would get an idea like that

Reaping,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Like Shal said, it's a blessing that it was caught early so you can do something about it. I will be back online in a few days, and will be up to talking about your successful surgery comming up in the future. :) You got this.

As for New Years resolution...I'm still working on that...

I just found out My heart isn't doing so well....Dr's told me I needed to change my Diet to an iron rich diet and lose about 20 LBS. I also quit smoking and need to keep up with it. I will be having open heart surgery in a few weeks. So for my new year I am hoping to survive the surgery and watch my son grow up.....

BTW I am not taking it so well if you couldnt tell. I am VERY scared about all this.

Well I do hope you all have a Wonderfull Holiday season!!! May your days be filled with holiday cheer!!! (I am trying to stay positive but have my moments  )

you should always do that... dont think that should be a new years resolution :(

marriage takes work, an lots of tender loving care... i know u know that, but dude... sorry i guess i got offended a little... i just find it upsetting to hear ppl say that.. wifes/women should be treated with great care, so to say you want to make her feel more special as your NYR, start now... otherwise theres always somebody out there who will treat her better if you aint treating her right/how she likes to be treated...

*breathes* ok.. im done... sorry once again... no hard feelings

oh, i treat her like a queen and she tells everyone that... i just me the "special attention" , the little love notes, the little text msgs during the day to say i love you, the little things that relight the spark... basically, i want to make more of an effort not to let her ever think i take her for granted

Ok, how long have you guys been married???

In my 17 1/2 yrs of marriage I've learned alot gets taken for granted on both the wife and husbands side!! It's a fact of life, as family gets bigger and life gets busier it just happens... Both I and my husband have been guilty of this but we've always known how much we love each other!! It's a given :)

However, we do tell each other daily, guess that helps :D We also have a different lifestyle than most. He's gone every other month on a towboat. Kinda hard to take someone for granted that's not with you for 6 months out of the year I guess.

Wow, this was completely misinterpreted. He said "to try to show MORE attention" not just show attention. Sheeshes  Life gets so darn busy, it's nice to start the year organized, making more time for our family and friends.

i read that right... a little late to be replying llexa

an just curious, does a resolution any differ from a goal?

example, my goal is to loose 50 pounds
my resolution is to loose 50 pounds?

lol, an speaking of organized... i talked to a superviser one day .. an he said "my new years resolution is to get my office organized" an this was in October... an i told him "well this years gonna come to an end, an i asked him if there was a difference between a goal an resolution, an he laughed an said "i guess not" ... so many 'resolutions' fail, atleast all my friends resolutions do anyways lol...
