It celebrates Canada's Birth as a Nation (more similar to America's Independence Day I think). This year Canada turned 143 years. Canada has a thanksgiving as well. But it is about a month and a half before the Americans celebrate it.

Canada has more fresh water than any Nation

Canada has free health care - When my twins were born a year and a half ago, they came 2 months early. They had a team to handle my wife's c-section, and a recovery team to deal with the twins. The twins spent 5 weeks in the hospital receiving top notch care with some pretty intense equipment being used at the beginning, including a nurse just for the two of them 24 hours a day. The only thing it cost us was parking charges for us visiting. The hospital even had a couple of rooms with a bed for weary parents to sleep if things were too tough to go home.

Just a couple quick facts, i could go on and on, but i'll leave it at that.

Canada has amazing water. There are 3 Atlantic salmon/trout streams in our local area. Water is crystal clear.

Health care isn't "free" though. Just don't need to shell out cash to see a doctor. Still gotta pay for prescriptions if not on a plan of some sort.
