let's say you have a halberd with 100% life leech and 100% X area damage (for argument sake). do you gain life from every monster that you do damage from
A) area damage?
B) whirlwind attack?
c) both (hoping for this one)?
Now let's make this more interesting. Let's say it also has spell casting, and you equip it to a bio with a special of counter attack (of course this is without the whirlwind seeing that it has to be turned on). does it get the life leech from that too?
i'm thinking of things for a spawn bio. something that's gonna be running around attracting all the attention, which will absorb a lot of life. Something for the druid to knock down, or the druid will finish off.
I dont see why not, my bio has 100% life leech, and it does gain health every hit.. Hit area is still "hiting" the spawns around.. As for the counter attack hit area, I do not see that working...

lol. i don't normally do champ spawns, cause i always get 110 ps. it's a curse i tell you, but i like to do it when my friends call me up or someone needs help. i always give the ps away cause i don't need any 110 ps. now 120's i need. just planning things out, always good to plan your equipment.
From my experience, you won't LL from the area hit, as it's sort of like a passive spell. You would get the LL bonus from whirlwind and the initial hit on everything though. I haven't a clue in relation to the Bio abilities.
In fact, I used to use weaps with LL, ML, whirlwind and area damage for the same reason you're planning it for your bio
just planning things out, always good to plan your equipment.
