Crazy LAGGGGGG

I am new to the shard and am getting some crazy lag. Anyone know what I can do to speed this up? I am located on the west coast of the US. New computer with Windows 7 64-bit, 8GB RAM, 4GHz quad-core, GTX470 graphics... UO is running like I'm on a PII with 512MB RAM from 1994!

i too am laggin out, like 10 times now.
