Wrath of the Dryad

Post by Jam »

Alright, so I acquired a Wrath of the Dryad and slapped a level weapon deed on it. Looks like this..

Damage Increase 40%
Dexterity Bonus 8
Hit Chance Increase 15%
Hit Lightning 33%
Hit Mana Leech 50%
Poison Damage 100%
Weapon Damage 15-17
Weapon Speed 33
Two-Handed Weapon
Skill Required: Mace Fighting
Level: 8

It has Concussion Blow and Paralyzing Blow. Not the fastest or hardest hitting weapon, but I was curious to see how it would fare with say... 120 mace, chivalry(angelic form), bushido, all the dressings. Any thoughts?

I'm kind of new to the melee game but catching on. Realizing the importance of stamina, aswell. Divine Fury is great, but would it be beneficial to add extra stam or stam regen? Life Leech too, perhaps? Str?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've always liked that weapon... for my purposes though, I would put SC, SR5, and change it to a 1-handed war hammer. Any other questions? And after 850 EDs... hehe
Peace,

Guess I need to start donating, or quit my second job. Haha.

All jokes aside, spell channeling will be incorporated and possibly self repair. I have a leveled Hanzo's and the SR3 is convenient. We'll see how it goes. Maybe it'll be in the market forum soon.

It can't be repaired? So self repair is a must if it has any chance of staying around?

Since this is a staff I believe that you can use a carpenter repair deed and it's better to use the legendary ones to repair it.

FWIW, I changed a Wrath into a Yumi (a recommendation from Blaze). I don't hunt with it much, but it works very well for my needs. With just the base mana leech, I'm able to spam armor pierce and keep my chiv spells up, and my max mana pool is only 75. I wouldn't say it's godly or anything, but it's a solid bow. The 100% poison can either be good or bad, depending on if you have enough chiv and karma for consecrate, or enough music/disco to disco the enemy when it has high poison resistance. I've added the stat bonuses, and plan to add regens, HLD, etc. I also used a SC deed on it, and plan to add SR5.
