Account Retrieval

Is there a way to retrieve account information? a friend is interested in playing... but his IP was hi-jacked a while ago by his nephew that played... and has since then, quit playing... "Said Nephew" also does not remember the account info, conveniently... are there steps he can take to either have the current info wiped, or possibly get the info to play?
