Excelsior Monster Compendium

Post by Cygnus »

I have been on this great shard now for over 5 years and have enjoyed it tremendously. And it seems that I am still finding and learning new stuff here all the time. This time, I would like to give back to the shard and perhaps provide some information that some of you may or may not know or kind of knew but were not positive. I created an Exel file called the Excelsior Monster Compendium. It lists almost every creature you may encounter on this great shard along with their gold drop, token bonus and experience points if you happen to slay one with a levelable weapon. It also lists location to many creatues and their facets. Almost all data was based on an average of 3 to 5 kills except for bosses and harder monsters; their data came from 1 to 2 kills. Since it is an excel file, you can add or delete as you feel and most perferably, expand on it to provide more useful data. I am hoping that would be the case as I would like to see this grow into a "one stop shopping" for players. I would also like to see if this could make the wiki. 97% of the creatures on this list were kill by me with a war hammer; 2% with my bow and the assistance of pets and 1% with just my bow. I sincerely hope everyone finds this useful. If not, well I found it did and it helped me raise my hammer over 40 levels in th process. Win win for me. :woot:

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.

I got no problem if you would want to expand on it or make it better. It was for you guys that I put this together, not for me.

Sorry. I just ran out of steam doing this. He deserves to be listed. Maybe you can kill him 3 or 4 times and share the info with everybody.

You don't kill this guy though, He just spawns and talks to u in quest popup, then disappears when you accept it doesn't he?

Geez, It's been too long and I don't remember. :( I know you chase him around until you finally catch up to him in an old graveyard nw of Trinsic, but I can't remember what I did after that. Thanks Dramoor! Now, I am going to have to log in just to do the quest. And here I thought I was going to take a break until Christmas. :verymad:

Yep, old Zeep doesn't get touched so he really shouldn't be listed anywhere.

All nit-picking and perfectionalism aside, I think this is a pretty nice guide!

Thank you for taking the time to make this much needed Compendium :)
