If you are running Win 7 or 8, make sure that all of the programs your running for UO are running in Compatibility mode for Win XP either SP2 or 3 and that all of them are being run as administrator. I'm not sure if that is the actual problem but I might help.

I've got crashing issues going now as well. I was there yesterday on my desktop PC with no issues. Today I went there on my laptop and I had about 12 crashes by the time I could get to the chair to log back out. Luckily I didn't crash during the vrolak (sp?) guards. Was able to finally get out. I've been there on my laptop before though, and never had issues. Today it was just non-stop crashes.

Yeah i tried that. Ran everything in administrator and compatibility mode. Made no diff. I use to be able to go there with no problems aswell. This really stinks. Thats an important dungeon.

This morning I was able to get my Grizzle GoC piece and the key to the crypt on my desktop PC. I camped out in the crypt and then later, when I had to use my laptop, I was able to do the crypt without crashing a single time. As soon as I was done, I put my pets away, hid and went back into level 1. Crashed at least 15 times trying to get to the exit. Usually I got 1 step before crashing, with the occasional 5-6 step run.

Sometimes it also crashes as soon as I select my character and I don't get to do any steps at all.

I finished this leg of the GoC quest which was my goal with the area, but hopefully we can try to figure this out cause I definitely plan on being in Bedlam in the future!

I'm using Windows 7 on both my desktop PC (the one that doesn't crash) as well as my laptop. I also just recently downloaded/reinstalled the entire client (I'd say about a week ago) on both the desktop and the laptop at the same time, so both are using the same version. Same version of Razor as well. The only difference I can think of between the two are different video cards, and different internet connections (in case it's a packet/data transfer issue).

My brother crashes there aswell on his pc. Has any staff even read this post? Any response would be nice to let us know that your even aware of the problem.

I tried going labyrinth today aswell and kept crashing but not as frequently. Might try wiping my computer and putting an old xp on it or something and see if that helps. I have multiple computers so I can dedicate one to an old OS like that.

Really need to figure it out though since I like the s4erver and have put cash into my character already with plans for more but I wont stay if I cant do the best dungeons in the game.

Col is aware. He PM'd me to try to test it. I'll try to connect with him tomorrow to see if he can glean anything from the crashes.

I have issues with crashing in most of these places. Not all but most. Like Travesty. For some odd reason while I'm in there my client crashes.

But to reduce some of the crashing I have turned my sound off. That seems to take care of 90 percent of the issue. Give it a shot and see if that works for you all!

The only way I can go into lab is with zero sound.

Ok, it's definitely the sound. I didn't realize I had the sound on for my laptop and that I had the laptop itself completely muted so I never noticed. Once I turned off the sound in the UO client, I zoned into Bedlam and the crashes were gone. Thanks for the help, Jess.

I'm not sure if there's anything Col or whomever can do to resolve this further. I'm sure some people would prefer being able to leave their music and sound effects on.

Col knows of the issue with sound and Lab.

He was able to narrow it down to the sound of Rend when he aggros. Or something of that sort..lol it was Col and a guildie who worked on testing over a couple of days to narrow it down to rend and it being rends sound. Then pulled me in to crash me just by playing the rend sound file.

Hopefully this sound issue can be fixed without to much of a headache.
