Regen Stamina on Leveled Weapons

Post by Unbeliever »

I just recently entered the weapon leveling game and I'm not sure if this is worthwhile or not. I see that some people use it and some don't. My thought process has been -

Pros:
It's inexpensive, points-wise
Keeping stamina up = keeping swing speed up

Cons:
With maxed FC/FCR, near-instant Divine Fury might eliminate the need for it
220 dex (which I almost have) = reduced hp loss = stam loss being less of an issue

I'd like to hear some different opinions on the subject if anyone is willing to share their thoughts. I know it's only 10 points but I can still think of other things to spend those 10 points on. :)

if you are talking about on relayers its advisable to still put it on some items till its over the diminishing returns cap

although fc4/fc6 will allow near instant devine fury being surrounded by mobs in say felucca tkeep in that pit with the pair of balrons, it is unlikely your fizzle/success rate will be desirable enough to make regen stam "not needed"

And trust me, you'll be having more than enough points left "over" after you cap out DCI/HCI :P

Every re-layer should have all the regens on them.

And HCI and DCI I would say to plan accordingly. If you plan to use SoT Re-layers or even just one on your head you get 15 HCI for each one used. DCI you could say go over max because of Divine Fury drops but really are you putting RPD on your items? If you are you kind of want monsters to hit you to get use of that RPD. So for RPD I would say a good 40 and stop. And when you say using divine fury can remove the need. Yoda said it and there are more monsters that way too, do you want to not be able to swing, or have to not cast consecrate weapon more often because you decided Divine Fury would be good enough on it's own? Because there are some situations where even with full Stam regen, you are still casting Divine Fury an awful lot.

But in my opinion every re-layer should have until u cap something:

RPD - No Cap
SDI - No Cap
LRC - 100 You don't need to max each re-layer out either just put some or leave it for later to add with resists.
LMC - 40 You don't need to max each re-layer out either just put some or leave it for later to add with resists.
Stam Regen: Doesn't cap but diminishing returns happen I still used past it.
Mana Regen: Doesn't cap but diminishing returns happen I still used past it.
HP Regen: Doesn't cap but diminishing returns happen I still used past it.
STR: No Cap
Dex: No Cap
Stam: No Cap
Int: No Cap
Mana: No Cap
HP: No Cap
Enahance Potions: If you plan to use pots while you fight is great to have.

The rest is as you need it basis to me.
SSI is good at first but do you really need it later on? No.

Resists: One thing I tell every person I talk to about re-layers is you do not have to max them out right away. It is better to just use your gear with them and leave points to use on re-layers at a later date to fix your resists.

HCI/DCI: Gave my reasoning for it. You do not have to max them out on one re-layer to do so would be in my opinion wasting points that can be used to get more out of that re-layer.

Planning ahead can also help you not need to sell a different re-layer later or miss out on valuable stats on every re-layer.

Thanks for the replies and helpful tips, guys. +Regen Stam it is :) Dramoor, I really appreciate that in-depth talk on relayers! It's a lot to take in but I'll put that info to the best possible use (eventually).
