need help with connection flaws

Post by genuzz »

once I have found that 1 of my machines no longer allowed me to connect the shard it just appeared with 'Verifying account' within a boring minutes. Most wondrous and weird thing is that I have 2 computers with the quite equally same versions of prepared client installed however 1st won't run it but 2nd run it without any prompt. So shortly: there are 2 computers connected through the Apple AirPort with WiFi network 1st is routed machine and provides the services to other. This 1 comp won't run the client however plugged laptop under network run it perfectly. Any suggestions? your help is highly appreciated! tanks very much in advance!

I have the same problem (almost). When I start the client at home, it works perfectly well, but once I try to start it at work ( at both places I am using the exelsior client) The game freeze at verifying account when the port is set to 60 and freeze just before the character selection screen when I put 2593 for port. The strange thing is that once a day I can enter the shard for 10 min. and then got disconected and unable to connect again for next 24 hours. First I thought that my admin is playig games with me, but I tested another realms and it works perfectly for mote than 10 min(didnt test it more, coz I dont want to play another shards :)). I don't know what cause that problem realy and I don't expect anyone to help me, just want to complain about the fact that I can't play at work :P

Both strange things, but tell you what... try connecting to port 60 instead of 2593. See if anything changes.

I chose the 60 because it looks like a nice number, but the traffic thru that port may be restricted in your company's firewall setting, or well the iRouter might be iBugged or something. See if anything changes maybe we'll figure this one out.
