first thing you ned to do is go to the provisioners and buy a plant bowl, they are cheap to buy, only 86 gold per bowl
next you need to fill the bowl with dirt, fertile dirt is best, and can be collected off earth ellies in despise dungeon, if you do not wish to take the time to collect the fertile dirt, you can always go to the gardens outside brit, and get dirt from there, this dirt is good as well, but the plants are more likely to get diseases, and require more potions to cure the illnesses.
( to collect the dirt, simply have a bowl in your pack, double click the bowl, and target the dirt you wish to fill the bowl with)
Water, is also a must, as plants need watered daily, so is a good idea to have a water source nearby, as filling pitchers to water lots of plants could be quite time consuming, a water trough works great, just carry a water pitcher in your pack, to refill from the trough, so you dont have to run back and forth to town, or another source of water, these can be made with carpentry, or if you can afford it, the water sprinkler from the vendor stone in trinsic works wonderfully
once the bowl is full of dirt, double click the bowl to bring up its chart, there is an image in top right corner of a water pitcher, this shows how much water the plant needs, (-) means it needs water, (+) means its had to much, be careful not to over water your plants, as this can effect the health of them, and cause disease and death of your plant.
( to water the plant, simply click on the image of the water pitchewr, and then target the pitcher of water in your pack)
next add the seed, these can be collected off swamp boglings, in most any swamp, or off other players usually for a small fee, to add the seed to your bowl double click the bowl and target the seed, you now should have a bowl with a vibrant seed of some color, the color depends on the seed you planted.
now this is important, you need to secure the bowl down, so that it can grow, a seed in the bank or a chest doesnt grow, keep this in mind if you wish to plant lots of them, and be sure you have the secures in your house available to grow them,
Important: potions of greater value are needed to grow the plants, as disease does strike, you can use individual potions, or carry a few and fill the bottles from full kegs, kegs can be made with carpentry and tinkering skills, and filled with alchemy using regeants. the regeants can be harvested from monsters, or gardens, or purchased from the vendor stone in Trinsic, or the mage shops in various towns
* only the following rescourses need to be used for plants....Greater poison, greater cure, greater heal, greater stength, water, and fertile dirt, seed, and a bowl
to use a potion on a plant, look at its chart, on the left side are a list of ailments, on the right is the list of cures, if there is a (+) beside an ailment, go directly across from it, and give the plant that type of potion listed by clicking on the potion icon
this will give the potion to your plant, as long as you have that type of potion available in your pack,
*potions must be of greater value to be used*
* on dying or wilted plants, be sure to use a strength potion to help them recover and become healthy again
now that you have tended to your plant, wait 24 hours, and check it again, be sure to check each plant, as some will need potions while other will not, it normall takes about 8 days for your plant to grow fully, and about 10-15 days to grow resources
once the plant is fully grown, you can set it to deco mode, and it will no longer require care, you may also collect the resourses for use, like seeds, petals, and thorns, once the resourse are used up, you can set the plant to deco mode.
for the more advanced plant growers, there is cross polinating, you can cross polinate a plant to get different colors
*it is best to check your plants about the same time each day as you planted them, if your plants have had no change in their status, check back at a later time, each day there should be some change to the age of your plant, this will be shown in the top let hand corner as a number
at the bottom left hand cornor of the chart is a ?, this is the help option, it has a lot of useful information in it, do not be afraid to use it.
at the bottom right hand corner of the chart is an image of a bowl, use this if your plant is dying beyond help, or dead, to empty the bowl and start over,
* plants are simple to care for if you have the time and the resources to do it, is best to start out with one or two, till you get the hang of it, then mass production, is more fun . Plants are a must if your going to have beehives.
plant seeds aquired off monsters do not say what kind of plant they will produce, but a seed harvested from a grwon plant will, and makes it eaier for when you want a certain type.
*main character Malaryia, this is a guide in progress, if you know of anything I left out please let me know so I may add it, and thank you.
there is also a great solen quest for getting rare seeds, these do not produce more seeds or rescoures, but do give rare plant colors, give it a try if your intrested in growing plants
