Ethereal Undead Steed Dye questions

So, I finally hit 8 years and got my Ethereal Undead Steed. I want to "un" Ethereal it as I really like the Colors/way it looks shrunken but, its kinda ugly Ethereal. Someone told me if I used a Uni dye tub to dye it one color then another set on Hue 0 it would be its "default" color but, none Ethereal and that works if I set the temporary dye tub in the hue room to "0" and it looks exactly how I want it. but when I actually use a real Uni dye tub set on 0 it just resets to Ethereal where it started. so, I've tried it twice and the same thing happened. Anyone have any Ideas. Attached pic is the look I want (that I can only achieve with the temporary Uini dye tub)

Does anyone have a workaround to get this color if you have done it?

Is this a bug that is only affecting this kind of mount?

I would also be interested in "De-etherialzing" my mount. How would one get this item ingame? Is it available only at auctions? Thanks!
