Possible Bug with Spring Quest

Post by Alex »

Question to the community:

Today I was doing the spring quest and had to leave midway to go to the Onslaught Event. Going through the gate I had everything removed from my body and backpack and once exiting the event area everything on my body and backpack was returned EXCEPT for the 3 pouches from the last part of spring quest. I still have the book from the spring quest but no longer the three pouches so I cant continue.

I paged of the issue 2 hours ago and have not heard back but was wondering if someone had this happen to them during this event or during another past event and what their solution was. The only thing I can think of is restarting the quest, but dont want to cause any further issues with the quest by running multiple quests or anything.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Never got a response from the GMs ... but I have an update from my end ...

UPDATE: One solution and not sure if it is the right one, wait 8+ hours (or whatever the timer is for the quest), drop the last book you have which could not be completed because of the bug (you'll get prompted if you want to delete it or not), and go back to the first NPC and restart the quest with book 1. Yes, you lose all your previous work, but at least you'll be able to continue doing the quest. Having two of the same quest books (one completed and one not) in your back pack won't allow you to proceed to the next quest book.

It is not a bug. The bags are temporary items and will decay if you don't progress the quest in a timely manner. If you get the bags and then go do something else for an hour or more, they will poof before you return to running the spring quest.

Edit: You can also avoid this sort of confusion in the future by carefully checking the quest book and items before deciding to do something else. The quest items are clearly labeled "temporary" and you would have known that they simply decayed.

Fair enough, I didn't know we had an hour to complete it before they decayed, I thought they decayed after several hours or maybe even 8 hours, which is the quest timer. Thanks for the clarification.
