Newbie questions for Levelable Weapons

Post by ekayworks »

Hello world!

I'm a new player and asking for help to Vet players
I read many posts on Wiki and forums and I have some questions about weapons.

1) Where can I get decent weapons like 4x46, 3x58? I can't afford to buy it for now. so I'm looking for good dungeons for it. I hunted Eidolon and the loots' properties were way way below. I thought Eidolon was tough enough to give some good loots but it wasn't. Where you guys get those weapons? Is it some kind of secret for Vets? :)

2) I understand about leveling weapon roughly. Get a decent weapon, lvl weapon deed, weapon change deed(for weapon type I want) and lvling(hunting or lvl deed) right? I saw someone in the game whose yumi is one-handed!. How can I change my two-handed weapon to one-handed keeping one's type?(yumi, double axe or war hammer)

english is not my mother language. sorry for bad english.

thanks in advance guys!

They are rare drops, mostly from Peerless bosses or Gem of Completion mobs/bosses. They are very uncommon though, especially if you're looking for good properties. While I doubt anyone wants to draw you a map, that should get you started exploring. Beware, some of those creatures are pretty tough. Happy hunting!

I am not a "vet" here but let me try answer your questions.

1) Peerless bosses seem to be the best for weapon drops. Like Lady Mel, Dreadhorn, Travesty etc. I have been here just over half a year and I haven't found a 4x46. Only 3x58 I found wasn't with the right props. So it is quite rare I'd say.

2) Two uses for a weapon change deed (200ED or about 10mil). One is like you said, is to change the type of weapon to something more preferred. Commonly used to change a leveled weapon to either a yumi or a whirlwind weapon. The second use for this is to "remove artifact tag", commonly used for relayers. Weapons with the artifact rarity tag cost double to points to spend on properties. Hence, players use the deed to remove that and spend points just like any other looted weapon.

As for your question on how a yumi and other weapons are one-handed, to do this you will need to use the relayer deed (500ED or about 25mil).

When you're leveling your weapon, best to do it at dungeons that have high and fast spawn rate rather than tough monsters. (Quantity over quality). Note that Fel and Mistvale mobs give double the exp points than others so these are popular spots for levelers. Champs give a much lower percentage of exp points. You can use pets to gain exp after level 50 but that too is a small percentage.

Kinda off topic - not aimed at OP - but people really should explore more and not expect everything to be offered to them on a silver plate. Especially when it comes to end game gear/weapons, it's sad to see new players wanting the "best" stuff right away and not wanting to do any work for it...

Thank you folks for replies

There are many customizations on uoex. so I wonder is there a certain way to get good loots.

Thank you again!
