This is a question for the people that complete a lot of treasure maps.
How much luck do you have when treasure hunting, and how are the map drops in the chests for you?

I have 800 luck, and I seem to get terrible drop rates for finding a treasure map in the treasure chest I dig up.
I was just wondering what is a good level of luck to have, in order to start seeing better drops for more higher level maps?

wearing just over 3900 luck while digging up 1,011 trammel level 5 treasure chests I got 248 level 6 treasure maps. that's about 25% drop rate from trammel maps but the fel maps used to give me about 50% drop rate. I no longer have my notes from last year when I was doing fel maps so cant give you an exact number on drop rates but 50% is what I remember and that was with much lower luck maybe at around the 1k luck level.
im skeptical about luck helping at all with anything on this server but I wear it anyways kinda like luck in real life stupid thing to rely on or pay for but we do it anyways

I can confirm luck plays a role in t-map drop rates you see in chests.

I was seeing way less dropped at my level of luck, I think I will add some more and see how much of a difference it makes.

I figured luck was part of the equation, I think it mentions it in the wiki as well.

do you have an idea on % drops at your luck level?

At around 1.1-1.2k luck I got 11 lev 6 maps from 50 lev 5 trammel maps.

At 800 luck, I believe I was getting something like 10% or so drop rate for finding a map inside the chest.
I boosted my luck to 1600, and I'm seeing a huge difference in drop rates, it's worth doing my maps now.
Got about 800 or so maps left to go!

over the weekend I did 115 felluca level 5 t-maps and received 64 level 6 maps and 18 figurines while wearing 2100 luck

So it does look like you can achieve a 50% drop rate for fel maps on lvl5 chests, but the question is does it scale back at all for the higher level maps?

I don't have that many lvl 6 maps or much luck, but was wondering if any of the vets had noticed the same drop rate at lvl 6+ or if it scales back the harder the map? My guess would be that it scales back.

It would make sense if the drops got lower once your in a higher level chest.
Once I do the 7 + maps I'll try and keep track of how many I get.

Here is what the treasure map book looks like, if anyone is wondering.
It is an awesome tool for treasure maps, it makes it so much easier to stay organized, and has tracking features built in that point you to the pin location quickly.
The crafted book has a holding limit of 500 maps.

I'm still some way off getting the required lvl 8 map to try, that and my tracking is way too low! Would love to have them all organised neatly like that instead of just in a sprawl across different chests in my house.

That may be the book that was being sold in the ED room.
