weapon deed Q

i've asked staff several times and havent gotten an answer, so i guess i need +Colibri for this one.
if you have a weapon that you've applied deeds to, and want the deeds moved to another, is there any way to pay to have this done? i dont think it should be done for free so people arent constantly paging for it... but if there were some cost i don't think it should be a problem. could be gold/tokens/or even having the original weapon deleted.

i have never heard of this being done.. what exactly are you wanting moved? because if it is the "leveling" deed, i can tell you now that will be a no, because there is no way to know what was on the weapon at the time the deed was placed.. so no way to "reset" the weapon to fresh status.. i have heard at least that part of the question answered before

while technically possible, it would have to be done manually, invoking time, effort and presence.
if it had to be programmed, it would take about 5 hours for the base system, and perhaps one or two hour for every scroll in existence. (thats a lot)
many, many, more important things are on his list.
(note: i am not staff and this is by no means anything near an official response, but i am a programmer)

Generally no. Once you apply it, you already used it's powers, we don't provide returns. Well in the rare event that you for example donated for an ethy of your choice, first picked a horse, but then a few days later you found that you could look a lot more awesome on a llama, that can be changed. This can be applied to some extent for a deed on a weapon, but the problem here is, how do we know that some property was added with a deed and that it wasn't present there already? If we fail to check that, then people could take existing good crafted equipment and have the properties moved to another.
Tell me what kind of item and what kinds of deeds you have used, and maybe you can qualify for an exception, but generally probably not.

yeah, i know that it takes time to check, thats why i said there should be a price. adding followers and other ED rewards take staff time as well. i hadnt thought about not knowing the base attributes of a weapon though.
mine is a horselord though, they all have the same base attributes so there won't be any confusion as to what was and wasnt on it. and to find out what those attributes are you can easily check UO.Stratics.com...
here
i never said that staff should just do this, but i think there should be a price to pay to have this available.
and i used quite a few, 1 blessed, 3 luck, 1 spell channeling, 1 leveling.

Well, for that we'd have to add a new player service, but i have a feeling that it would be a player service that would just get used once a year... or even just once. We want to keep complications down to a minimum.
If you apply deeds to a weapon, and later find out you made a mistake, tough luck - you will have to apply them again to another one, maybe sell the first weapon to cover some of the costs. Sorry.
