Anyone ever use iris? was wondering if it worked here, downloading it now, i'll post with results if there isn't a reply when it's done.

Yeah I installed/configured it and the second I logged in to the world it crashed, tried it a few more times with the same result.

well, it "worked" when i was in Brit, but once i got to a custom house it couldn't do it and i crashed, plus it was very laggy (just my computer on that probably) and it never could show the custom hues on my char, just on paper doll. Seems like if someone knew how to crack it open and jiggle the pieces inside of it around, it may work though

I've used Iris plenty of times for me and it works pretty well for the most part. I didn't get a ton of crashes like some people, try to stay away from heaviliy populated places and all should be well. I had to build mine from source since I'm using Ubuntu, I tried the windows version under wine and that didn't work too well. Make sure you download all of the 3d client patches too before starting, or you'll get errors, blank things on screen, etc.

I don't PLAY in it, I love my old school 2d client, but it's pretty fun to walk around in 3d lumberjacking or just exploring. I like the 2d modded client too, which has some pretty nice textures (are those UO:KR textures?)
