Bugged Huge bag of Holding
Bugged Huge bag of Holding
I seem to have a bugged huge bag of holding. The other day I went to sell 13 energy crystals and they were in my HBoH, the npc bought them, but dropped me no gold. Today, I spent 3 hours at dreadhorn, gathering ingredients and such, and got 2 60k piles of gold. After Dreadhorn died, and I looted him, I went to go clean out my bag and sell my stuff, and I noticed that both other stacks of gold are gone. Can any one help me solve this problem please? -Relan

Sorry, no idea. Never had any such issues with mine.

Re: Bugged Huge bag of Holding
are you sure you put them in your huge bag of holding and not your trash bag?
Re: Bugged Huge bag of Holding
For what it's worth, I have a large bag of holding and have had no problems -- well, except that occasionally my backpack won't take the weight of something even when it's going into the BOH, where the weight doesn't matter.

This usually happens when whatever you are lifting would take you over the 400 stone backpack limit when placed in your main pack, and you are trying to place it into either a sub-bag in the BOH, or combining it with any existing stack in your BOH.Tael wrote:For what it's worth, I have a large bag of holding and have had no problems -- well, except that occasionally my backpack won't take the weight of something even when it's going into the BOH, where the weight doesn't matter.
To get around this, drop the overly heavy item directly into the bag of holding, in the main section of the bag, by itself (not combined with any other stack).
Alternatively if the item in question is a stackable, just drag smaller amounts of the stuff at a time. With this method you can add to an existing stack or a sub-bag in the bag of holding though it'll take more wristwork.
Re: Bugged Huge bag of Holding
Usually it's something stackable that causes the problem for me, which is funny since I often walk around carrying 15K+ stones of ore with no problem. It's not the weight but the way it's offered to the bag that makes the difference.
I only mentioned it because it's possible that Relan's problem is not caused by his BOH actually eating his stuff, but by the stuff being rejected by the bag unexpectedly without him noticing. I'd be very surprised if stuff could just disappear from a bag.

I am dead sure it was there in the BoH since I had it open. I was dropping piles of gold directly onto the BoH (in my backpack) and making sure is stacked fine. I didn't notice exactly when it poofed, but it was there before dreadhorn, and then after wards, I noticed that it was gone and all that was there was the gold I had just looted from him.
I know I was dropping the gold in my BoH because I could see all the normal stuff I carry around it in, my keys, my pets, my backup weapon and such.
As I said, something wonky happened the other night with energy crystals I was selling from the BoH, the nps bought them, and then didn't drop me any gold, or if it did, it poofed as well. I look at the npc sell list, and the crystals were there, so I know she bought them.
I have no idea what happened, or how to fix it, but it's terribly annoying to loot like crazy for 3 hours, and then it all go poof. -Relan
