My razor opens an old UO shard...?

Before I found Excelsior I used to play on a different free shard that I think is somehow attached to razor because everytime I try to open razor, even while currently playing on Excelsior, it opens the old UO shard as well, and when I try to make a macro for Excelsior it doesn't work. How do I fix this?

My guess would be that your razor is still working off your old shards address and port #. to fix this you need to make sure razor is opening the start screen. to do this, if it doesn't already, click the check box labeled "Show Welcome Screen (Effects all users)"
then when you restart razor a window will pop up with the headers "Client", "UO Data Directory", "Server" and "Language"
in the scroll bar under the "Server" portion make sure it reads "Server: shard.uoex.net" and "Port: 60"
click okay and this should clear things up. +Chaos

Sounds a lot like you mean you see the old shard statics in game?
If so you will carry on seeing them untill you override the files in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy if that is what you ment, to the Excelsior ones.
See front page for the details on getting started, A lot of shards have custom patches nows so if you haven't got originals to override your old shard then you will need to reinstall UO, But hopefully Excelsior will just override all there custom patches for you.
If you get stuck a lot of people here can help you.

Thank you everyone for your help! I figured it out with the information both provided!

I found this post and seem to be having the same issue. My server and port information are accurate and correct. But i just can not seem to get Razor to cooperate with me. You speak of overriding files...and to be honest I have no idea on how to do that. any help would be awesome.

It's possible that your uo.cfg file has it coded to the old server. Best bet would be to download the uoex package (on the homepage) and install that into a completely different directory. Then when you go to configure Razor, point it off to the client.exe location of the new directory and save everything as default.

ok I got it. I kept looking in the EA files for some retarded reason for the uoex files. Of course in my rush and greed to play UO again I forgot that I saved it as a different file. So thank you very much. Razor is now running with the current client patch for UOEX.

if you have multiple files of uo. find the correct client file. i have 3 folders and every time i have to set it to D:/uo/client. but that's cause my computer's weird (maybe it's me that weird). find the right path and it might correct that issue. good luck.
