Questions about Parry and Bushido

I have heard a rumour that Bushido does not have a negative affect on Parrying when using a shield like it does on OSI. Can anyone who knows the answer verify or deny this? That would be mightily cool if there was no negative association between parry and bushido. Thanks in advance.

Bushido DOES have a negative effect on parry. On Primal, if I equip him with a shield, he almost never parries (roughly 1 in 10-15 attacks are parried). With a 2 handed wep (no shield) he parries like he is supposed to (about 1 out of 3 attacks are parried). This is with 100 bushido and 130 parry. Primal (parrying with a 2 handed wep) has a similar parry chance to Taters (parrying with a 1 handed wep and shield at 100 Parry, 0 Bushido). I confirmed this for myself when I saw someone claiming that bushido doesn't effect parry.
Remember that parrying an attack is not the same as the attack missing you (although the result is the same). When you parry, you will see a white flash on your character. A missed attack will not show anything other than normal combat animations.
Aside from my own tests, the staff here even offer a service to lower a player's bushido skill in case the player decides to use a shield. I doubt they'd offer this service if bushido didn't lower shield parry chances.

FYI staff offer the service to lower ANY skill (10k tokens) not just specificity Bushido.
also, I asked about this very question (in a page) after 3 months of not using a shield with a 1 handed weapon, and to my surprise I was told I could use a shield, 130 parry and 120 Bushido with no negative side effects...so I am, and I'm not noticing a difference
